It aired on CBS over two nights, with part 1 being Wonderland, and part 2 being Looking-Glass. Alice meeting the Jabberwocky for the first time served as the cliffhanger at the end of the first part. :)

The jabberwocky was a beast created by Lewis Carroll... and that's the name he came up with... remember he didn't tend to make much sense out of stuff he wrote in the "alice books"

The name jabberwocky was used beacuse of a rhyme he came up with... and the beast in the books is never actually the main "baddy"... this movie changed the plot of "through the looking glass" to make it seem like so.
