  • There is no reason whatsoever why this video hasn't gone viral!

  • MR.T IS PITYING THE FOOLS in dragon incarnation!

  • 3:25 *break out laughing* he looks like a fucking Storm Trooper.

  • Alright. Who the hell's idea was it to let GODZILLA into Wonderland?

  • At 1:46 you can see a little of the nose caught on fire.

  • How the hell did a man in a dragon suit with lightbulb eyes fit in a gift box?

  • I think the wig she's wearing is more scary than the fat dragon that's following her.

  • this thing scared the shit out of me as a kid

  • @lahey37 I'm with you. I cried and ran away everytime I watched it. But it was like a trainwreck and I always made myself watch it

  • Negetive affect?????

    Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! Hes so scary!!! T^T

  • They really need to keep a Vorpal Sword handy just in case. ;)

  • @KaiserJames You kill the Jabberwock! The giant eel drowns you. You die.

  • 0:14 WHY AM I LAUGHING!!! ROFLMAO! HAHAHAHAHA!

Is it mean that if I was there, when the Queen started yelling "Off with his head!", I would've pushed her right in front of the Jabberwock?

  • 0:14 WHY AM I LAUGHING!!! ROFLMAO! HAHAHAHAHA!

  • She is cute!

  • JESUS H-CHRIST.

  • It's JABBERWOCK without the "Y"!

The monster is the Jabberwock. The poem is "JabberwockY."

If Gilliam and Tim Burton had read the poem themselves, instead of letting some intern do it, they'd know.

  • ALIEN meets Alice. Now that would be scary.

  • I remember this being a lot scarier, but I was 5 yrs old when I watched this. Kind of silly now, actually.

  • @mamma0daddy I agree completely! A lot more terrifying when I was a kid.

  • 3:01- Jabberwocky: Ok, now I've got you, and I'm gonna eat you... wait... my arms are too short! I can't put you into my mouth! (let's Alice go)

  • Barney is a dinosaur....

  • GODZILLA?!?

  • CHRIST!!!

  • Well, that was almost as scary as half the stuff in Return to Oz...

  • @SilverZeo88 i agree

  • @SilverZeo88 haha ikr

  • I've been trying to figure out which of the hundreds of Alice in Wonderland's this was from for years. This scared me so badly as a kid!

  • Me: *Grabs a Morpher* Everyone get back, I got this!

  • Now that's how you crash a party.

  • Oh no, it's Godzilla! D:

  • ZUUL MOTHER FUCKER ZUUL

  • Epic scream at :50. UHhhhhhah!

  • My mum used to be soooo scared of this movie because of the jabberwock. i watched it with her a few years ago, and was like, "Really? THAT'S what scared you? Maybe if it was like John Tenniel's jabberwocky picture, it would be different, but really?

  • @TearsBehindSmiles

I remember watching this movie when I was 5. For a kid, yea. I fucking had nightmares.

But then again, that's just me. I feel a bit creeped out by the style of the housing and the clothes.

Doesn't bother me today, but damn it fucked me up then.

  • :( ohh

  • this used to scare me as a kid.

  • bahahaha epic fail! wow tht thing is nothing but a giant handbag on strings really this is such bad effects but i do love everything alice

  • @Lavendertail17

Well, you also have to remember this movie is kinda ancient too. Of course it's gonna look fake. But still for a kid, it was scary as shit to me then.

  • @Lavendertail17 its actually a man in a cheap rubber suit with a fire extinguisher and a flamethrower

    note at 1:46

  • They should try using real swords on that fat jabberwocky.

  • Im sorry, 0:48 AHH!

  • at 0:48, ahh!

  • i remember watching this as a kid lol, so cheesy now

  • what verson af the movie is this?

  • @Cocobubblegum This is the 1985 made-for-TV version directed by Irwin Allen (The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno). It aired on CBS over two nights, with part 1 being Wonderland, and part 2 being Looking-Glass. Alice meeting the Jabberwocky for the first time served as the cliffhanger at the end of the first part. :)

  • NB: never celebrate christmas in wonderland

  • LMFAO! My cousin told me of this version of alice years ago. He had made the Jabberwocky seem so terrifying. I was actually even a little hesitant to click on th link... But now i cant stop laughing at it. Though i wouldnt want that thing flying towards me... NO THANK YOU! lol

  • @betterversionn I remember seeing this when i was 5 and being terrified. I'm now thirteen, and it just makes me laugh. Until I saw this I couldn't remember what the Jabberwocky looked like, and all I remembered was the red eyes near Humpty Dumpty, or something like that.

  • That thing come around my yard I kill it!

  • Must be a nightmare at Christmas...

  • And from then on Alice was terrified of opening presents...

  • 1985- Jabberwock tries to molest Alice.

25 years later- Alice gets revenge by cutting his head off. Consistincy?

  • there's one thing about the jabberwocky i'm confused about why is a creature that's supposed to be terrifying given a silly sounding name like jabberwocky i mean i just say it to your self with out thinking of the beast and just look at the name it's self and you'll see what i mean

  • @elamentalmaster

The jabberwocky was a beast created by Lewis Carroll... and that's the name he came up with... remember he didn't tend to make much sense out of stuff he wrote in the "alice books"

The name jabberwocky was used beacuse of a rhyme he came up with... and the beast in the books is never actually the main "baddy"... this movie changed the plot of "through the looking glass" to make it seem like so.

  • @amaurycanales you do have a good point about the name and i never knew that the jaberwoky was originally meant to be a lesser bad guy instead of a main bad guy thanks for that bit of information

  • worst. present. ever.

  • This clip started off creepy, then just got more and more funny as it went on.

  • When I was a little girl this was my BIGGEST scare! I had nightmares about this scene. It is so satisfying to watch it now and say Eff You, Jabberwocky!!

  • Jabberwocky must've lost alot of weight in the new Alice in Wonderland.

  • where the heck is Mothera when you need his ass!!

  • best birthday ever

  • @ObsceneSpleen I know, right? lol

  • she could of said fuck you you aint scary

  • All we need now is a few Japanese guys running from it and it would be hilarious.

  • that's not a jabberwock, but a bandersnatch

  • @Dewani90 I remember this when i was a kid. The creature to me looks very similar to a dragon.

  • that was awesome

  • this scared me even a few years ago.

  • plastimocho!

  • nightmare food

  • Queen of Hearts-"OFF WITH ITS HEAD!!! OFF WITH ITS HEAD!!!"

    *One failed attempt later...*

Three of Clubs-"Got anymore bright ideas?"

  • wow i thought this was just a dream. guess it's real. lol. i musta been drugged when i first saw this like, years and years ago and granny's place.

  • Nice gift, guys. I mean, which kid doesn't want a huge creature to attack them as a present?

  • this was the BEST adaptation of Lewis Carol's "Alice Through The Looking Glass, and what She found there"

  • I seem to recall Alice being more courageous than this.

  • Could you imagine AmericanMcGee's Jabberwocky come there? That would be pure death...

  • oh shit i was just watching the new alice movie and when they said jabberwocky something click in my head and it was this show, and i was like NO SHITTING WAY,the new alice movie is for the alice fans, the jabberwocky sscared the crap out of me when i was a kid, im 24 now, i enjoy this movie except for the jabberwocky lol, had me covering my eyes and peaking

  • Damn. the Jabberwocky is fuckin awesome though this movie looks pretty lame

  • 2:11 Ahhh Red Queen, your standard sollution to all problems of this world. :3

  • @thessan11 LOL, Queen of Hearts, not Red Queen :) If you look carefully, Red Queen is one of the first to run away and hide from the Jabberwocky. Although she did make it to the stairs rather fast...

  • @fivebearrugs LOL my mistake x3

  • omg! i remember when i was a kid i got so scared!

  • Comment removed

  • I was terrified of this as a child.

  • Aww what a nice present. XD

  • Didn't I see Godzilla fight that thing at one point?

  • 1.15 = Pure Nightmare Fuel.

  • I dont care who you are that scary right there!

  • @theironfist121

it may be stupid now. but i remember when i was around 6 years old my mom made me watch this movie and it was the scariest thing ever! lol

  • @theironfist121

it may be stupid now. but i remember when i was about 5 or 6 years old, my mom made me watch this movie and it was the scariest thing i had ever see! lol

  • lol lame hes like wabling like he just tok a shit

  • i do believe the creature is just a jabberwock. jabberwocky is the name of the poem where it comes from. I may be mistaken though. Classic literature is not my strong point.

  • don't you just love how everyone was just running around screaming pointlessly? lmao. And doesn't the white knight know that only the Vorpal sword can kill the Jaberwocky?? lol silly old movie :P

  • even though it a man in a suit its still pretty scary looking.

  • Godzilla!!!

  • OH crap! BARNEY!!!!

  • Before tim burton:epic fail After tim burton:HOLY CRAP ITS GONNA KILL ME but still good old classics

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I couldnt for the life of me remember which movie had this scene. Its sad to think of how much the jabberwocky terrified me as a child

  • i have a big head....and little arms lol

  • LMAO

  • This crap scared the hell out of me when I was a kid :|

  • sombody call Toho Company Ltd I think they're missing a monster

  • at 1st i thought this was godzilla

  • wonderland?!?!? Frikin' underland!

  • Its old and not scary but its kinda nice to watch a scene from old classic

  • Acting Fail

  • I have this on DVD; at 1:13 you can see kneepads on Alice as she runs down the stairs... and just how big is this banquet hall anyway???

  • that fake rubber thing doesn't look anything like how the jabberwocky is supposed to look. it looks more like godzilla with wings.

  • OMG is that Carol Channing??? :D

  • @coconut994777 Yes, that is the awesome Carol Channing as the White Queen :)

  • I don't know what's more scary, this Jabberwocky or Carol Channing ( 0:47 )

  • im sorry people but this looks soooooo fake and cheesy XD

  • @KHlover369 LOL, well this *was* on TV...in 1985 :)

  • What the frak? I thought they were going to send the JabbaWockeeZ to Alice's party, not this freaky Kamen Rider monster reject.

Looks like those Ventaran delivery guys screwed up the order again. Guess we'll have to either kill this beastie or use the Contract Advent Card to turn him into some Kamen Rider's pet.

  • I'm so much more entertained by this than seeing another goddamned pixilated CG monster.

  • When you see a jabberwocky just say go away cause you aren't afraid of him and tell him your fake and that your grown up now and then say i don't believe in you 3 times. And it vanashes!

  • That jibber jabby wacky is a fake alright Alice, I wouldn't believe in him either.... But still this is 1985. Still funny to watch it in 2010! lol

  • that's supposed to be the jabberwocky, is it? well I hope not all of your video's have such little imagination!

  • 7 minutes of sheer terror.

  • cant you tell that thing is fake

  • technology has changed so much :/

  • 1:50 - Alice whips out the Blunderbuss and yells "American McGee says Merry Christmas, motherfucker!!!"

    *BOOOM!!!*

  • mommy i want a jabberwock

  • 'Twas brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe.

    All mimsy were the boro-groves

and the Mome-raths outgrabe. "Beware the jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that snatch. Beware the Jub-Jub bird, and Shun the frumious Bandersnatch." So taking vorpal sword in hand, long time the maxome foe he sought..

And I forget the rest...someting about the Tum-Tum tree...

  • @NeptuneMS385 I like the jabberwocky poem and you got most of the words right for instence its "so TOOK his vorpal sowd in hand, long time the MAXMOME foe he sought..."!

  • Wait. Alice wants to grow up? I never read that in the books?

  • AAAAAH! Look out for the poorly concealed flame thrower in its mouth!

  • stupid!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaa!

  • @theironfist121 the white queen is an idiot

  • oh my god, WHEW she's safe, she's BACK at home now and -- OH MAH GAUGHD JABBERWOX BACK!! IM HAVIN A HARD-ATTACK, AHAHHHHHHHH!!!

This shit was unfair when you're a 4 yr old kid groin' up in the 80s...

  • 2:58 Jabber hug

  • Queen of Hearts, oh look a terrifying creature form Hell........

    OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

  • All she does is just 'aaaah!' 'aaaaaah!' 'aaaaah!'. Really annoying.

  • this is soo ridiculously cheesy

  • Was that movie a real horror movie?

  • the jabberwocky looks like godzilla with wings.

  • This movie is comedy.

I have this funny feeling that I want to punch that girls in the ugly face.

  • You know I asked for a Jabberwocky for my birthday one year but the stores were all sold out.

  • Imagine how Tim Burton would do it

  • He made the Jabberwocky pretty cool- looking in his version, I just wish he gave it a bigger part.

  • @initotwinit exactly like this

  • @initotwinit Saw how he did it, too bad he didn't make it scarier

  • childhood terror come rearing its ugly head...

  • i was always afraid of Jabberwocky I tought he was real lol

  • You see? This is what happens when you don't invite the Jabberwocky to a party. He crashes it.

Jabberwocky- Why wasn't I invited? YOU ALL MUST DIE!!!!!

  • @cchasler Maleficent didn't tell us she had family there.

  • this used to scare me to death. it's still ackwardly scary. I just saw the new movie and it's just not as good as this film at all.

  • omg! i hate that thing! kill it!

  • I had nightmares about this scene for at least 3 years after I saw this film.

  • If I were Alice I'd totally flip off that bitch of an owl.

It would be funny if it actually happened XD

  • all he wants is a hug.

  • rofl i use to be afraid of that

  • Oh jeez did this thing used to scare me!!! I get that Alice is supposed to conquer her fears herself....but as a kid, who else was ticked at Mister Owl?

Alice: MISTER OWL HELP ME!! THERES A HELLBEAST AND ITS AFTER ME AND ALL MY WEIRD FRIENDS HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!!!

Mr. Owl: Ehhh, do it yourself. Grow up.

    Alice: ....douche.

  • The sad part is that today they could never film a movie this dark for children. Some child psychologist would deem it too troubling and the producers would either edit it out or play it for silly laughs. Thus is our current PC sanitized society.

  • This scene is personally responsible for millions of dollars in therapy bills for all children on the 1980's!

  • DAMN WONDERLAND, YOU SCARY!!!

  • @AwshomeneshShquared If he ever came to my house, I'd kill em, Oh My God, Jabberwock done ate that card guy, DAYUM WONDERLAND, YOU SCARY

  • What I don't get is who the fuck gift wrapped him in the first place???!?!?!!!! What kind of sadist woulf give a terrifieing monster to a little girl as a present? There are some sick people in Wonderland. Still, great scene. Think I'll fave it.

  • @UltimateThanos Well it is a mirror image of our own world so for the people of wonderland a Jabberwocky might considered a great gift.

  • It's basically Alice being chased by a friggin DRAGON!!

  • :13 Jesus Christ!

  • WHAT THE.

It's a giant bubble at first. XD

  • I was scared like hell of this thing when I was a kid.

  • sure it looks lame, but that's good ol' latex suits and animatronics, no CGI bullshit

  • and that iss why it looks lame...

  • this scene used to scare the crap put of me when i was little, now i see it and i cant stop laughing lol

  • @J8neSez i kno right

  • Every time I think of this scene, I start to wonder if the Jabberwock tossed the real present aside somewhere and disguised himself in that place so he could get to Alice. I know it sounds stupid, but I always get these weird thoughts whenever I watch movies.

  • OFF WITH ITS HEAD! OFF WITH ITS HEAD!

  • I love this scene. Granted it never scared me. But then again, i never got to see the conclusion until i was older. We had a black out during the second part so we never got to finish watching it. I was so happy to finally see the conclusion. It felt surreal.

  • TROGDOR! Burninating the countryside!
