When the cold winter comes. Starless night will cover day. In the veiling of the sun. We will walk in bitter rain. But in dreams I can hear your name. And in dreams We will meet again. When the seas and mountains fall And we come, to end of days. In the dark i hear a call. Calling me there, I will go there And back again.
@djfuryza will be a film about Bilbo Baggins on his story will be told that frodo and will be another adventure that stayed in our memories forever, and after that becomes another called the Hobbit: There and back again to enjoy!
@djfuryza In the chance that you have no idea what Kolds212 said, The Hobbit is essentially a prologue of The Lord of the Rings. It tells of Bilbo's adventure that leads him to finding the ring that ignites The Lord of the Rings. It is being made into a movie by Peter Jackson and part 1 is due out this year. Check out the trailer!
even though the movie is absolutely perfect... the soundtrack is even a thousand times more impressive. absolutely brilliant and genius work mr howard shore!

If only life was like these movies. Beautiful sountrack, fills me with hope. Cant wait for the hobbit. I trust peter jackson to do an amazing job with it!
I remember when i was little and the first lord of the rings movie came out... It's seems so long ago.
Not only is lord of the rings the best film ever made (in my opinion) so far, but it also has a very emotional, amazing piece of orchestral music, that, makes me feel happy when I'm sad :)
@zrpizzaguy Even though it was only ten years ago, i will give you that, and the book are amazing to though, i hope the hobbit is as long as return of the king though, four hours of bliss.
@MaximilianVagabond Lol so were you really sure you were that tough? Or was that just how you viewed yourself... lol that was the gayest comment I ever have read roflmfao
How can you even begin to compare a movie like this to Twilight?? It's irrelevant. Why would you even compare this movie to Twilight. Twilight is a fricken love movie and LoTR is a Good vs. Evil movie at least get that right.
My sister has a youtube account?! She hates Lord of the Rings and has never seen any of the movies in full. Thanks to her friend, the orcs, and Gollum, she will never see how awesome these movies are.
I have to say that this song put tears to my eyes, tears that I didn't knew that I had. I'm Brazillian and my cousin died yesterday in a car accident. He was just 11 and loved LOTR. This music makes me remenber him because he often said that LOTR and it's music gave him patience and courage. He was my best friend and I won't forget his smile when listening to this.
Thank you, Howard Shore to your beautiful music and for you make I remenber my cousin's happiness.
I thank John Williams for creating the best and most emotional Soundtrack of all times... It fits to each Fantasy book I've ever read and it makes me cry everytime I read the end listening to the Track Return of the King from the LOTR 3 OST, or to THIS... It's a masterpiece in all ways, it's THE music of fantasy, this music IS fantasy, I just listen 20 seconds to this and I return to the Shire, Gondor and Rohan... I wished those Movies or the Story would've never ended :( THXTOLKIEN AND WILLIAMS
All these things come from Norse mythology lads. Thor was a god of middle earth. His father Odin god of the heavens. Jord is earth herself. Odin sky and Jord of earth had a son Thor. Who would be god of middle earth. Thor is middle earth. Study Norse mythology its pretty epic stuff.
Btw guys I'm not saying he invented elves and dwarves, but he DID bring them to life in a beautiful way and without that many wouldn't care about these mythical stories. Also I can't watch a single adventurous movie that doesn't have any reference to LOTR. Almost all do.
The music opens me up into another world. Does anyone know how to put this music in another youtube video, or would that be copyright? If it is copyright, then how did this person get it in this video? Im just wondering, I would love to use it for some of my videos.
I'm 53 and I remember reading the book back in high school and picturing it in my mind. Thanks to Peter Jackson and the people behind him they made it real for all to see on the big screen.
Without Tolkien, without his beautiful realm, his heart-melting stories and unforgettable characters, a lot of what we now know would cease to exist. Without the Lord of the Rings, there would be no Skyrim, no World of Warcraft...there would be no legends to be whispered of beneath the stones of the world, no tales of glory and adventure to be told to loved ones at an open fire. Every new fantasy story that is written, or movie made, reflects the beauty of Tolkien's work. We thank thee..greatly.
@JadFarra lol not true, do u think tolkien invented everything from dwarves to elves? it existed before :) he based the lord of the rings on many old tales and stories.
@JadFarra What are you talking about. The middle ages influenced skyrim and world of warcraft not lord of the rings. lord of the rings didnt create elfs.
@TheFixXxerNL How so? Considering lotr didn't create any of the races in skyrim or any part of the story. Do you mean the book inspired the creator do make elder scrolls other than that i really don't see an influence from lotr.
@TheTarheelRam Well, if you take a look at the environments, you see similarities to Middle-Earth. Whiterun and the plains around it bears great resemblance to Edoras in Rohan. Markarth has a Helms Deep-esque entrance and the whole thing about being built into the mountain side. The fact that you can dual wield a staff and a sword. There's lots of stuff that are homages to Lord of the Rings. Not that it's a bad thing of course :)
@TheTarheelRam Every fantasy game created basically is based at least loosely or influenced by Lord of the Rings. The books that Tolkein wrote in essence created the fantasy genre. Not literally of course, there was fantasy before that, but in the sense that we think of fantasy today with elves and dwarves, knights and mages, demons and angels, spirits, dragons, good vs. evil, it was all based off of LotR. Skyrim very much so, but im not singling that out, every fantasy game, including DnD.
@TheTarheelRam Have you seen Skyrim and LOTR? The semblances are uncanny. LOTR introduced us to what we know as "elves", orcs, ect. Without LOTR Skyrim wouldn't exist, that I can assure you. I just re watched the movies recently, and after many hours of Skyrim it's so plainly obvious that Skyrim was influenced by LOTR.
@MattMahael no it wasnt. the only bad thing about middle earth is that the magic is kinda dumb, and in skyrim it erocks, but dont misteak me as a hater, i love middle earth.
@MattMahael No you don't make sense at all. And if your saying the movies influenced skyrim if anything the book might have. Elder scrolls started before the lord of the ring movies. LOTR did not create elfs or orks. Elfs started long before thousands of years in german mythology. Just because there both middle age movies doesn't mean skyrim was influenced by anthing. I see nothing at all and don't say elves or orcs because that is wrong.
@TheTarheelRam I didn't mean the movies, I meant the books (from which the movies sprang). I just stated that I had recently re watched the movies, which are based off of the books, and so allow a pretty valid comparison. Elves and Orcs existed before Tolkien, but Tolkien was the one who brought them into prominence in fantasy fiction. That's just an example. Skyrim is soaked with LOTR, as is almost every fantasy written today, and for many years past.
@MattMahael Once again. No. Elves were always part of fantansy and mid evil lotr didn't create that. Skyrim is not soaked with lotr because it also has a middle evil based. Almost every middle evil age book had elves and long before LOTR.
@TheTarheelRam First of all, before you claim to know all about "middle evil" fantasy, know that it is spelled 'medieval'. Second, as I've already said, they existed before Tolkien, but Tolkien brought the world of fantasy to prominence. You can be a fanboy all you want, I love Skyrim, but I also know that it is far from original. Cheers.
@MattMahael That was clearly a typo from middle ages. And you have had no valid points i never skyrim was orginal but elfs orks, this kind of fantasy date way way back.
@TheTarheelRam Evil looks nothing like ages, but whatever. Moving on, you're evidently ignoring what I said, so obviously you're going to decide that I have no points, not because you're correct, but because you simply don't acknowledge them. Skyrim's architecture, landscape, races, "epic action", all bear an uncanny resemblance to Tolkien. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis created modern fantasy; Skyrim is modern fantasy. From that we can gather a pretty basic conclusion
@MattMahael By typos i meant i was obviously thinking of middle ages and mid evil and accidently mixed it while typing fast. And i listened to your points but your not listening. Lord of the rings was not the first fantasy with elves and these kind of landscapes.
@TheTarheelRam We get it, fantasy didnt start with LotR. Obviously Skyrim was influenced by old german and norse mythology, but also by LotR. Fantasy was not a widely popular style of literature until Tolkien, and everyone who writes fiction nowadays pays homage to it. If Elder Scrolls is trying to create a world with Tamriel, then they must recognize those who have done the same. Namely Tolkien with his world of Middle Earth. So what if Tolkien didnt CREATE fantasy, he made it famous.
Sure, What i meant is that those influences are mainly architecturale and environmental. Take a good look at Whiterun and it's surrounding in skyrim and Edoras in Lord of the rings!
that strange moment when you think there can't be any dislike on this video, but if you look closely you find 39 people without "taste" of music lol

MattMahael 3 weeks ago

TheTarheelRam 3 weeks ago
@TheTarheelRam Evil looks nothing like ages, but whatever. Moving on, you're evidently ignoring what I said, so obviously you're going to decide that I have no points, not because you're correct, but because you simply don't acknowledge them. Skyrim's architecture, landscape, races, "epic action", all bear an uncanny resemblance to Tolkien. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis created modern fantasy; Skyrim is modern fantasy. From that we can gather a pretty basic conclusion
MattMahael 3 weeks ago
@MattMahael By typos i meant i was obviously thinking of middle ages and mid evil and accidently mixed it while typing fast. And i listened to your points but your not listening. Lord of the rings was not the first fantasy with elves and these kind of landscapes.
TheTarheelRam 3 weeks ago
@TheTarheelRam We get it, fantasy didnt start with LotR. Obviously Skyrim was influenced by old german and norse mythology, but also by LotR. Fantasy was not a widely popular style of literature until Tolkien, and everyone who writes fiction nowadays pays homage to it. If Elder Scrolls is trying to create a world with Tamriel, then they must recognize those who have done the same. Namely Tolkien with his world of Middle Earth. So what if Tolkien didnt CREATE fantasy, he made it famous.

Skyrim's Whiterun actually looks a whole lot like LotR's Rohan ;)

@MrWambooo
Yeah, I might be messing up city names ^^'

@TheTarheelRam
Sure, What i meant is that those influences are mainly architecturale and environmental. Take a good look at Whiterun and it's surrounding in skyrim and Edoras in Lord of the rings!
TheFixXxerNL 3 weeks ago
@TheFixXxerNL Look at Whiterun and compare it to Rohan village. It is basically the same.

@TheKawlus

U do know that skyrim is based on norse mythology and not Lord of the Rings right?
norwayairsoft 3 weeks ago in playlist my name is lincoln
@norwayairsoft the Nords are, and Talos. But nothing else. Lord of the Rings practically invented the fantasy genre, that is what he is saying.
