I just got a iphone 4s about 5 days ago. I woke up this morning and it was on the floor beside the bed which means i must have fallen asleep with it and then either knocked it off or dropped pushed it off the bed. I have a defender case on it. My bed is on the floor, so the drop was about knee high,about 19". Seems to be working fine. Any need for concern of possible internal damage?

My week old iPhone fell out of my pocket while climbing. The defender case didn't do anything. Phone blew into two pieces. Not satisfied at all.

I just got my otterbox defender series for my ipod touch 4g thanks for the great protection and the extra bulk is really comfortable and the grip is really great thanks again also i reccomend this case to anyone with and ipod or iphone dont look at the dislikes this case is really good!

It is my belief that if the belt clip that comes with the defender was as good as the case itself the phone would have been in the belt clip instead of his pocket. Unfortunately my phone is now in my pocket as I have gone through two of the belt clips and I am waiting on the third. They have plastic pin tabs where there really should be a steel pin.

I don't understand the hate on this vid, I have an Otter Box Defender on my iPhone 3GS and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. I regularly sling my phone against concrete to demonstrate to my coworkers how great the case is. Phone is still like brand new. If you need a rugged case to protect your cellphone, I give the Otter Box Defender 5 stars. It's a little difficult to get to the edge of the keyboard, but to have my iPhone still in pristine condition years later it's worth it.

I was visiting Niagara Falls here in NY (US and Canada border) and A LOT of tourists had their phones in ziplock bags so they could record the falls up close without their devices getting wet. It sort of work but poor quality since the plastic were blurry. So here in a hotel we're staying, I Googled it and this company popped up. But unfortunately you guys doesn't have the product :(

@RedNYello505 Our cases are tested by a third party which drops them from 3 ft onto hard surfaces. I would suspect if you drop on concrete your phone would survive, but much depends on how high the drop is and if the screen were to land on a protruding edge, like a rock, etc.

I've been pretty happy with my Defender case so far. Of all the cases I'd looked at, this one seemed to offer the best protection.

Do I expect it to be perfect? No, but it's going to give it the most protection I can reasonably expect. If the fall is serious enough and the case breaks, but the phone is okay, it did its job. Cheaper to replace the case with a new Defender than to have to buy a new iPhone.

I had an email from you saying normal scuffs and scratches on the screen protector aren't covered by warranty, will only consider replacing if it's damaged to the point I can't use the phone, otherwise buy a new case. @sonnyd963 The case has been tested and does not affect the signal. The reason we had no signal is because we were shooting on location in a canyon. Thankfully the Colorado weather was nice for our week of shooting with the Phantom camera (a week later it was snowing).

The iPhone Defender is great, the EVO Defender on the other hand, is junk. I say this as an Otterbox fan and EVO owner. The best rugged EVO case on the market right now is the HC Ballistic. Although these style cases are too big for me, I use the Trident Cyclops or the Otterbox Commuter personally.
