@weaslebee In interviews Colin said he has no other projects coming up during the hiatus, instead he'd be looking forward to travel and spend time with family/friends before filming for S5 starts in March again.

@MasonDThomson So far no airdate's been officially confirmed (that usually doesn't happen until 2-3 weeks prior to the date), but the Merlin producers mentioned that Merlin S5's due to air next fall. If that's the case S5'll probably premiere in September or October 2012.

And the S5 Premiere is for the UK, and not the US? Cause if it's for the US then that's just wonderful! SyFy is such a great channel, it's one of the top 5 channels I watch :D

@StressedOutMonkey The S5 premiere date Sep/Oct 2012 is for the UK where the show usually airs first. In the past SyFy usually picked up new series of Merlin from the first quarter of the following year (i.e. S5'd probably air on SyFy early on in 2013).
