Jeff Carlson's "Plague Year" and "Plague War."

I'm really enjoying "Plague Year." As a writer, I can't help but notice different things in the book, i.e. first, when there are "page breaks" the first few words are bold, second, his first page and opening sentence just nonplussed me, and third, the author isn't afraid to use gritty internal and external dialog. I think he's a wonderful writer. Turn this series into a movie or several movies!

I'm in Plague War now. First one was ok, this one is as well so far. Nothing to actually BLOW my mind with. Just good entertainment with an astonishing level of realism.
