i am a fan of the emenianenkos, but i really don't think aleks was ever really a top MMA fighter. he looked fantastic in pride, but almost everybody he fought was a journeyman at best. his only good win was sergei kharitonov.

pride was entertaining, but they were really good at building up stars by feeding 'em nobodies and calling them the best. many of the guys who were killers in pride had their career quickly fizzle out when they started getting in other orgs. not all, but many of them.

If he DOES have Hepatitis C, he will never fight in the UFC due to the possibility of transferring it to other fighters through bleeding and cuts.
