i was up with a friend on some range and a moto crashed into me on my ritual and then flipped itself, me and my bike had no scratchs..=)..

this was 3 years ago though..but i still ride it everyday...

I'm only 13 but i want to get into dirt jumping. Would you recommend the ritual? And should I go with SS or gears?

The Ritual is a great frame and if you are going to do mostly dirt jump SS is the way to go. I love my gears for the tech skinnys and dirt jumping hasn't hurt them, so I quess ya can't go wrong either way. With an extra wheel and chain you can quickly switch back an forth. The Ritual has BMX style drop outs.

The only stunt they can really see is the dog fence and one of the dirt jumps.

My closest neighbor did say he was "devastated" when I dug up the back yard to make the dirt jumps.
