I really liked the way he slid across the floor and landed EXACTLY at the microphone. I wish i could do something like that, but i'll probably overshoot and slide across the stage : )

I guarantee that there's miles of footage of him doing it over and over again and the one time he did it perfectly is the one that ended up in the film. :)

I can see it in my mind... he slides past the mic... crashes into something etc. Actually I doubt it took a lot of shoots, he probably practiced enough times before they wasted the film to get it right. My grandmother would have been in her 30's when this was current scene. She lived thru horse/buggy days, all the way to flying in jet airliners. From Sp/Am. war thru Vietnam. Titanic. All that stuff.
