You're right. Music searches no longer give the results like they show in this video. But what I REALLY miss is the result box that gave you, in chronological order, EVERY recorded version of the song title you entered, with artist and album names & the year released. This was extremely helpful in identifying which recording of a song was released first, as well as discovering cover versions that I never knew existed.

@Lafikhandro I totally agree, as there are countless songs I have searched, via the exact lyrics, and not 1 site I have tried has located them, most of these sites are dedicated to everything bar independent label stuff produced by brown skinned people, and if anyone wants to take me on, i'll take the pepsi hallenge on what I have just asserted. Pretty much all of these sites are dedicated to music made popular in the main by a caucasian audience, this site is the closest to all the music I seek

How does an artist get their music made available on the Google music search feature? I manage an artist and we have accounts with ilike, LaLa, MySpace, Rhapsody, and many of the others.

There should be a feedback section for the music to correct issues that arise. ex: 'Alanis Morrisette - You Oughta Know ' is 4:09 not 4:57

Also, there really should be a button/get request that will force it do a music search. For example if you search for 'Beatles' or 'The Beatles' you won't return anything.

I have done this for years. I use "quotes" when I type in lyrics and google will usually come up with lyrics sites which will tell u the songs title.

From now on unbiased music search results are muted. In fact all music related search results are simply changed in the way google wants them to be. The first result of a music search will always be from companies who are partnered with google. The first result will always get about 60% of all clicks. This is killing indepedent websites.
