It was never anything big, it was just a bunch of small annoying problems. I'm just now getting the money flowing in how I want so I might try another 2jz build, but I don't have good patience. @tompwh I went to them for my s2000 SEMA project because I didn't have the time to do the swap and when I got it back the engine was missing some shit, they mounted it half assed, the clutch they put in it was beat up and had no grab. I payed $9800 for parts and labor and they did a shit job. They wouldn't return my calls until I took them to court.
@MegaHolymoly I've owned 2 supras and the 2jz is a pain in the ass to maintain. Shit breaks all the time, I now have a 94supra with an rb26 and it's soo much better. If u have the money to make it bulletproof then the 2jz is a boss. But my rb26 is built and currently pushes 843whp and hasn't faltered once.

nice s2k very clean swap but 16k where u get ur rates from the honda dealership u worked at for all those years. it shouldnt take that long 2 weld in new mounts run a wiring harness and get a custom drive shaft. but not gonna hate if ur the only one around there doin it people will pay. hope all the best
He only hates Rotary engines because he's mad that his v-tec didn't kick in yo.
Also because a 4 rotor engine only cost about $10,000 and is as fast as a v12 just a lot lighter and allows for better weight distrubution and his s2000 is going to be shit in corners now due to the heavier engine and changing the transmission to be able to keep up with the added torque from the new engine.
Funny, my friend has an RX8 as he actually showed me an RX7 thread of people saying other wise. It's nowhere close to 10k so gtfo.
Not to mention the shitty reliability of rotaries in a long run is not even worth building up a four rotor. It will eventually act like a two stroke motor with the amount of oil it will burn.
As for the added weight to this guy's car? Who cares. It probably isn't much and he probably runs 500-600HP as daily driver now just like most Supras around my area.
I don't give a fuck what your boyfriend showed you, I've talked to several Mazda techs as well as racingbeat for installing a 4rotor, they're a lot cheaper now and rotaries are only unreliable if you're a retard. My friend has an FD With 260,000 miles on it. I've seen tons supra engines need to be rebuilt at 100k miles.
@c0nv1ct1337 Maybe 1 out of thousands of Supras have 500k+ miles on them, they're a rare car, I doubt anyone would even drive 500k miles in a supra. As of terms of reliability, I've seen tons of rx8s with 100k+ miles on original engines, rx7s with 250-300k miles, original engine, there's even a 4port auto rx8 with 160k miles, which is literally the most unreliable rx8.
Any rotary that went over 100k had their engine rebuilt as the apex seals don't hold up. If they are 250k+ they probably were rebuilt even more or the owners put in as much oil as fuel every time they are at the gas station as its all burned up by then.
Don't try to argue with your "personal experience". This is a fact. There are consumer reviews (more like complains), Mazda themselves showed it by increasing the warranty, as well as other sources.
@c0nv1ct1337 Just because a couple of people who don't know how to take care of a car, and probably barely changed the oil had problems with their rx8's and posted shit online doesn't mean anything. I know & seen HUNDREDS of FD & FC Rx7's and Series I rx8's with 100k-250k miles without changing the seals. They increased the warranty to prove that it's not the engine it's the consumer. Go to sevenstock and see how many miles people have on their FD & FC's with original engines.
Anyone that thinks this is stupid is dumb this car could outrun lots of bikes and you can take it to 1000 hp never could do that with the stock s2k motor

i wouldn't pay that much for a swap. i mean i've heard of people pushing the stock f20 motor past 700hp; who knows how many miles they get out of it like that though. still looks nice with that swap though.

nice s2k very clean swap but 16k where u get ur rates from the honda dealership u worked at for all those years. it shouldnt take that long 2 weld in new mounts run a wiring harness and get a custom drive shaft. but not gonna hate if ur the only one around there doin it people will pay. hope all the best

He only hates Rotary engines because he's mad that his v-tec didn't kick in yo.
Also because a 4 rotor engine only cost about $10,000 and is as fast as a v12 just a lot lighter and allows for better weight distrubution and his s2000 is going to be shit in corners now due to the heavier engine and changing the transmission to be able to keep up with the added torque from the new engine.

Funny, my friend has an RX8 as he actually showed me an RX7 thread of people saying other wise. It's nowhere close to 10k so gtfo.
Not to mention the shitty reliability of rotaries in a long run is not even worth building up a four rotor. It will eventually act like a two stroke motor with the amount of oil it will burn.
As for the added weight to this guy's car? Who cares. It probably isn't much and he probably runs 500-600HP as daily driver now just like most Supras around my area.

I don't give a fuck what your boyfriend showed you, I've talked to several Mazda techs as well as racingbeat for installing a 4rotor, they're a lot cheaper now and rotaries are only unreliable if you're a retard. My friend has an FD With 260,000 miles on it. I've seen tons supra engines need to be rebuilt at 100k miles.

@c0nv1ct1337 Maybe 1 out of thousands of Supras have 500k+ miles on them, they're a rare car, I doubt anyone would even drive 500k miles in a supra. As of terms of reliability, I've seen tons of rx8s with 100k+ miles on original engines, rx7s with 250-300k miles, original engine, there's even a 4port auto rx8 with 160k miles, which is literally the most unreliable rx8.

Any rotary that went over 100k had their engine rebuilt as the apex seals don't hold up. If they are 250k+ they probably were rebuilt even more or the owners put in as much oil as fuel every time they are at the gas station as its all burned up by then.
Don't try to argue with your "personal experience". This is a fact. There are consumer reviews (more like complains), Mazda themselves showed it by increasing the warranty, as well as other sources.

@c0nv1ct1337 Just because a couple of people who don't know how to take care of a car, and probably barely changed the oil had problems with their rx8's and posted shit online doesn't mean anything. I know & seen HUNDREDS of FD & FC Rx7's and Series I rx8's with 100k-250k miles without changing the seals. They increased the warranty to prove that it's not the engine it's the consumer. Go to sevenstock and see how many miles people have on their FD & FC's with original engines.

2JZ in a S2000 is SOOOO stupid!!
U have to replace the WHOLE drive-train (to handle the Torque)!!..... and it totally throws off the balance and, hence, the HANDLING of the car!
I would do a 4G63, SR20 or 3S-GTE if anything.

i got questions: firstly, changing the exhaust of a Honda S2000 (or any year to) a uumm "muffler" just makes the car louder or must i also change the engine... secondly is it possible to change Honda S2000's doors to the one's that open going up... instead of to the side...? please respond my inbox or someway and i hear from people that by changing the exhaust to a muffler it takes up extra gas for the DB sound
