Interesting the annoucer says that Pearson had a revelation that made him a modern day Martin Luther. Exactly what a friend of mine told me years ago when he presented inclusion. We were trying to figure out why he had abandoned the truth of the gospel and she said she felt it was mostly his ego, which is enormous, and that he wanted to be like Martin Luther at the Diet of Worms after he'd tacked his thesis on the church door. This guy ain't no Martin Luther. Pearson believes his own press.
the Idea that you have to believe in Jesus to be saved. Seems to go against the idea of Jesus dieing for all men sins..If he dead for all man sins. Why dose anyone NEED to believe in him to be "saved".Both idea seem to be contradictory to each other.
his message doesnt line up w scipture....how can he preach part of the scripture...there IS a list in the Word of those who wont make it in to heaven..and the false prophet is one of them....GOD is not mocked,whatever a man sows,that shall he reap
Quoting verses from the Bible that convey fear is shamefully pervasive throughout the Christian community. In fact, it reemphasizes the our religion is driven by fear and not by Christ's love. Like John Shelby Spong, I am under the impression that Bishop Pearson represents an evolution of Christianity beyond dogma, towards intuitive remembering of Christ-consciousness as the ground of all being. Peace and awaken.
