Hi do a search for "the fourth contrast" in our latest single "Jane" we have incorporated some McCartney sounds, merged it with Brian Wilson´s harmonies.
Wow, You guys truly were an amazing group. A group that stood the test of time and still to this day is recognized as one of the greatest acts to grace the world.
I really wish I could have seen you when you toured with Roy Orbison back in 1964 in Australia. Roy Orbison and the Beach Boys were my all time favorite acts.
Roy Orbison and the Beach Boys = American Legends.
Seen the new Beach Boys a couple of times and despite it only being Mike and Bruce they still sound good and the backing band pulls off the harmonies really well. No it isn't the classic Beach Boys we all know and love but it's 2008 for gods sake give Mike some credit for keeping the music on stage. I'm seeing Brian in a couple days, shame they can't all just get it together (with Al Jardine too).
However Mike Love is not my superhero (I am not on the other side Mike hater), I would love to see him on one stage with Brian again. Only that could bear the name Beach Boys. Beach Boys meant always Brian and Mike to me (with respect to Carl, Dennis, Bruce and Al) The Beach Boys = Brian Wilson and Mike Love.
LOL, why wouldn't you INSTEAD go and see Brian Wilson sing the songs he wrote - including this, with the words it was *meant* to have, instead of Mike Love's corny pop lyrics? :-P
Brian was just in Pittsburgh, and though I couldn't make it (and God, I wish I could), I saw vids on YouTube - he's still knockin' them dead.
yeah he was really good. They had all the kids come up to the front of the stage, and me, being 14, thought it would be an awesome chance to get some footage on my camera phone.
hah was does everyone on youtube tell there age for absolutely no reason when they are young why did you say that being fourteen made you want to film the moment
No. Did you read my comment? They wanted the kids to come up front to the stage...so my 14 year old self thought that would be the best time to start filming.
Kowalski or Cowsill? Neither of them can take Denny Wilson's place, or even the place of Ricky Fataar or Bobby Figeroa (actually, Figueroa replaced Kowalski in '74).

This is note quite the same no matter what. Mike Love isn't one of my favorites and his business dealings doesn't help.
Here, it's hard not to miss Carl.

I agree, but for me, as long as I hear what sounds like The Beach Boys, and I look up onto the stage and see Mike Love...I'm good!

Actually they're now called The Beach Boys Band. It's just that the band is commonly left off.
