@Shidooobee, This is not a competition. Originals always have an advantage on the cover version(s). When I'm in a "guitar mood" Bill Doggett is a delight to listen to. But being in the "Sax mood" Bobby does an excellent job here. At least better than my favorite Sax player King Curtis. I'm taking the Honky Tonk versions on "Old Gold" and "The Platinum Collection". This version is too similar to Bil Doggett's and then I am also tempted to make it a competition. Kind regards, Marc

I found the King Curtis version on your channel, and it sound pretty decent as well, but I was way more happy to find 'Memphis Soul Stew". Hadn't heard this since I played my parent's records ! XD Thanks !

Thanks! I've seen him perform a couple of times and he is one of my musical heroes.
When I get lost or wound up, I ask, how would Bobby Keyes play this and I gets my head on straight.
