I watched this documentary in my Gender and Society class. I was very impressed with the work these women were assigned, obviously our government realizes the advantages female soldiers can bring to the table yet I find great fault in that same government for not officially acknowledging their contributions. An official policies that repress women from having the same rights as men, in this case the right to combat for their country, instillsan atmospherethatunderminesthosewomenintheeyesofpeers
I disagree with "engelmichal", if there are women who want to serve in our Armed Forces and can deal with being in combat, they should be allowed to. I have no problems with having a woman in Special Ops, as long as she can hold her own.
My name is SPC Barr, Ive went to Iraq with the women in this video. They are all awsome soldiers. I miss them dearly and still think about each and everyone of them to this day.
I could go off on a rant, but I won't. I just remember how there was a big double standard (at least in my unit) for women. No physical work detail, special treatment, etc... There are several women that I served with that I would absolutely trust to watch my back in combat, but for the most part, it's the men who cannot seem adapt to having them in such close quarters.

women are very good in many things but they mustn't be allowed to join combat units. we are'nt built for this kind if work, not physically nor emotionally. women in combat units only weaken the militery.
