Thank you. I teach Zumba since 2008 and don't know much about Irish Dance movement. You inspried me to choreograph Zumba in celtic style. Thank you again.
hey if you guys have been takeing Irish dancing for such long time then why are you whaching some person showing beginers Irish dance moves? ...this is to @audsw2511
omg , you are not doing it right , first u have to go around , and then , Then u go to the sides , and then , when yhur doing the sides , u DO not put your left /right leg behind your other leg ,
i would know becuz i done irish dancing for seven years , and i was in the championships !!!!
u really shudnt of put this video up becuz yhur not doing irish dance , your doing it all wrong !!!!!!!
@audsw2511 I agreee completely i LIVE in Ireland and she is not doing that right at all and i have been taking Irish dancing for 11 years! She needs to learn how to do that!
@audsw2511 I'd like you to take notice of this comparison. You are telling that she should not post this video because it is not, in your eyes, the "correct" style of Irish dancing. This is exactly the same thing as if someone told you that you should not have posted your comment, as it did not use "correct" English grammer!
It's best to appreciate creative differences between peoples' styles of self expression.
@wildxberries It depends upon whether she's trying to say "this is how to do Irish dancing", which it seems she actually IS trying to say that (given the title "Irish step dancing for Beginners"). If the very pretty dancer was saying it's an artistic rendition, then it's different (& she can dance any way she wants to), but since she's saying it's "Irish Dancing", then she needs to get it right.
I give big credit to the Irish, they're the only people I know to have developed a dance style that doesn't have you flailing your arms all about. The genius of this is that you have a steady hand available for holding a glass of beer!
Just some hints: Watch ALL of the videos to see what she does and how she does it and create a playlist of all you think are helpful, including the ones where she's just dancing and not teaching so you can get a feel of how to do the steps in real time. And most importantly: DO NOT GIVE UP!!!! Just keep practicing! It doesn't make perfect, but it does make a heck of a lot better!

Little bit discouraging when EVERY Irish dance tutorial on the internet has a whole bunch of Irish people saying "you're doing it wrong".
Which one's RIGHT, dammit!? (Or is it purely opinion based?)

I'd find that too hard to follow. I think I'd just have to stick with my unco-ordinated dancing...unless someone was really patient with me.
