  • biggest problem with these cars is control arm bushings, they like to clunk over bumps after 40,000 miles

  • @gatewaysolo104 spell correcting the internet? How amazing of you

  • I have a yellow cobalt exactly like that girls, and lemme tell ya, its looks beautiful with the windows tinted.

  • Cobalt is only worth taking a second look at if it's the SS Turbocharged. Sorry.

  • 'sporty looking with the spoiler on the back'....blocks rear view, very redneck style.

  • What the hell would a chick know about it? Dumbass, like my ex girlfriend lol

  • Piece of shit.

  • I have a 05 colbalt, GM needs to go under.... There products suck

  • @cct2557 sew does you're speling

  • this is a joke right?

  • um,, i have 367 problems with it...the engine runs poorly...the 16" tires are under powered...the plastic breaks off easily...ugh the chevy logo wont even stick on...but other then that, i cant complain, it was given to me free for a commercial :)

  • @alex49698 How can the tires be underpowered?

  • had my 09 ss sedan for 2 yrs had 3 recalls broke the intercooler and intake 2 time because of cheap plastic that was used. Got a metal intake by K&N but not smog leagal in CA-lame. I love driving the car just wish they used better parts its sucks to fix a car with less then 15000 miles.on it. the cruze looks nice

  • Man the only reason people bought these cars was because they didn't bother to look at anything else.

  • @Coreyhkh2

Not true. I looked at a lot of other cars before I bought my Cubalt and did a ton of research too. As it turns out, the Ecotech motor it the most tested that Chevy has ever produced. This has also been used a lot as a rental fleet car, booking lots of miles and exposing the flaws. This of course results in recalls that fix the original design flaws.

Mine is still great at 85k, no issues!

  • Love my 2006 Cobalt.... screw you haterz :)

  • Grammar is not that hard. The engine runs well, not "the engine runs good".

  • they suck, GM suck, they didnt replace my power stering and I almost had an accident

  • Great styling? It looks very bland. Great fuel efficiency? It struggles to get over 25 mpg. Good quality? The plastics in the car would be more at home on a fisher-price toy.

My friend has an '06 Cobalt, and he bought it used for 7 grand 2 years ago. Since then, he spent 2 grand on the clutch, 1 on the fuel injection, and 200 bucks on the ECU. Not only that, but the rear left passenger door will not open because the locking mechanism is broken.

Even Fiat makes better quality cars than this.

  • Wow this video is fake for one reason, they are starting to be recalled due to the powerstearing issues just like toyota and there breaks

  • i cannot say the same like them did say

  • Five out of ten? Sounds about right.

  • only big flaw that I see about mine... Putting in an after market deck requires a $230 install kit.. :-/ Otherwise no issues for me in the past year...

  • It's a great car... especially when you lose power steering... oh wait a minute that's right that doesn't make it a good car. Well gm will just stop making it cause noone will buy it now maybe well redesign the body and call it a cruze

  • @somedudeandacomp just because you lose the power steering, doesnt mean the car isnt drivable.... Obviously youve never driven a car without power steering... which is why i dont get what the hype was all about with the recall. It only makes the car undrivable when weak asses cant turn the steering wheel at a dead stop. Go drive a 1964 Plymouth. Those didnt have power steering, and they weighed A LOT more. The cobalt without PS is easy to manage.

  • @Ajps2master I drive a Civic wihout power steering everyday, I have no power assist power steering thank you very much sir you are wrong upon your preASSumed statement.

To a 16 year old girl who her parents are letting her drive their car or buy her a car suddenly loses power steering, it IS a problem. It's drivable BUT IT'S A SYSTEM FAILURE that does put lives at risk, That's like your brake booster fails and u have no power brakes and you saying THEY STILL WORK!, calling it NO PROBLEM lol

  • @Ajps2master BTW never said the car was not drivable, check your pretenses before you present an argument.

Don't forget to buy the all new Chevy Cruse

  • @Ajps2master one more thing... their steering wheels were the size of a medium size dog, which gave you a lot more leverage when turning the wheel of those heavy cars cars today don't have large steering wheels and they are geared differently.

  • First off have you driven the Cobalt without PS???????? You said you drive a civic!!!!! Secondly if i purchased a car with PS I want to drive one with PS and if the part if defective they need to fix it! its not about if its easy to drive or not its about safety! While the car was drivable it was still difficult to drive and who want to drive the car in that condition when thats not how it was made!

  • I bought an '06 Cobalt SS a few months ago, because I trust GM. My 2000 Cavalier treated me well for 7 years, so why go for a different brand? My Cobalt is a two-door, and a beautiful shade of blue. It looks awesome, and aside from the aftermarket stereo from the previous owner, I've had no problems.

  • Lets face it, its a completely average/good bang for your buck car. It will get the job done and will do what a car is suppose to. Now that's fine, but then you have those ricers who think there new cobalt is a street racer and that makes me laugh. But if your not one of those guys, then cool.

  • Did anyone else get a semi chub over the girl?

  • I love my little yellow Betty Boop Cobalt

  • Makes sense that the Ecotec is a European sourced engine...Which is basically the strong point of the car (i know, i have one)

  • Meh, I bought a Cobalt Turbo because it's fast and cheap.

  • "Chevrolet is a reliable car"..The handling is very good". Umm, i'd rather have a horse and buggy. Both statements, and many others made in this video are false, can't wait to see the look on their faces when the lease is up and chevy won't even take the car back because the residual value is lower than a 6 year old Honda Civic.

  • @dell2964 I drove the civic, the corolla and the cobalt when I was looking for a car. I gave serious unbiased thought into all three because they are in the same price range. I chose the Cobalt because it drove the best and didnt feel the cheapest, and I have no quality issues, my grandmothers civic biggest piece of shit ever. Dont comment if you have no idea what your talking about go drive a toyota and have the accelrator stuck and die you would do us all a favor

  • I Love the cobalt but it looks better in dark Navy blue and without a spoiler at least thats how mine looks <3

  • love my cobalt 1lt...just got the 2010 august 4th....extremely fuel efficient...quiet...id agree....5 stars!

  • WELL. It runs WELL. Americans....

  • I LOVE MY 2006 CHEV COBALT.

  • can i have the girl instead? i'll take that for a ride

  • I like the cobalt, but really? Finding two people that like a car isnt really a good revew.

  • lol the guy actually mentions radial tires being a plus. And 16" tires.

  • What a cheesy video, I'm sure this girl is SO informed about car's to rate it 5 stars..

  • Wow, she is damn hott!

  • i love my cobalt<3

  • Anybody that has had a Cobalt has the biggest smile on their face during this review cause it's completely bogus. Love this car anyway.

  • They are paid to say what they said. Maybe if Government Motors pay me millions to say, " I am lying to you now when I say, forget what I said earlier. Chevy is a great car, I'll give it a 5 star, quality, styling, blah, blah, blah." Recall, Recall, Recall. "

"Total Recall! Stocks on GM, Recalled!

  • 'Wuz DAT bitch know bout CArz mmgmm!?!? IM DRUNK!!! YEEHAW!

  • yep, that reliable, dependable car.....that gets RECALLED

  • RECALLED!

  • @rumpl4skin you clearly do not have a clk 63 because its not offered in the 63 in 2003. you probably drive a cobalt LT 4 door with hub caps. and also this video is shit these 2 douchbags were paid by gm to say this

  • A perfect replacement for my cursed Civic . It has restored my respect in Domestic cars.Very sprited performance. A lot of value for the price and the mileage is fantastic.

  • @Thetruthhurtstheleft I drive a Civic too. I absolutely hate it! I've been thinking about getting a cobalt SS. Just wanted to reply to your comment and see why your Civic was cursed. Mine has a shitty manual transmission, sometimes it won't go into gear, takes 5 seconds of cranking to get the enfine to start sometimes, a vibration in the front end that the dealer can't fix, and when you push the clutch in and turn right , it acts like it wants to stall. What a disappointment. I could go on.

  • Everyone knows the Cobalt looks best in Black. God, I love my car.

  • @coodoo17 why not white?

  • @coodoo17 black is best, but the yellow looks dope

  • @coodoo17 - Nothing wrong with that color at all. However,it must be pretty hot after sitting in the sun for while.

  • lol at 1:45 she sed fuck lol

  • She said probably...

  • oh ..................................

  • well if you don't like the back tail lights just go get a Pontiac g5. the exact same car except different name and rear tail lights.

  • That car is so cute I want one when i'm 16 but I'm most likey going to find some old car that should be a davidsfarm

  • msSaryB i own a cobalt ss/sc 2007 as well mines blue what colors yours

  • the back lights r cute! i drive an 07 ss/sc too :) but i look cuter driving it :):D

  • I bet you do! :P

  • Well it drives well!

  • i like the car i jst dont like the back lights their ugly

  • You know, I agree. And I own an 07 SS/SC

  • yo' Im thinkin of getting one of these imorted to the UK whats the one that you can seiorsly tune the hell out of? I know one of these you can supercharge put a couple of grand worth of performance parts in it.

  • Eh.. If you are wanting to drive the car hard your money is better spent in different a different car to be honest..

  • fair enough Im looking at a 2nd hand skyline, evo 6 or imported 240sx from Japan or a Celica GT4 so Im torn between those

  • @jamesthq Cobalt SS...and the best part is it already comes with 260 HP

  • cheers thanks Ive had a look at one at an american car garage hear in London...I loved the Viper GTS but insurance company laughed at me before telling me fully insured at 23 my insurance for a Viper would be £9,700

  • @jamesthq oh shit

  • you could buy a few parts to make the little round lights go away. Im thinking of replacing my bumper and trunk lid with part from the sedan to get the the look of the pontiac g5

  • haha watch the crash test

  • I like how the guy knows just about everything on the Cobalt, and the chick has absolutely no idea-lol

  • Hey!!!!! ( lol)
