Je t'aime Momie ton fils Douguess depuis New York.
Lingala language is similar to Nyamwezi language in Tanzania. Even the melody and song sounds are that those of Sukuma's. That could explain why people in West Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya fell in love with Zaire or Congo music. Lingala should be Bantu language. At least we could pick up meanings of the words.
oh my God only if i could understand LINGALA....vous les zairois ...vous etes incontestablement les rois de musique africaine...we cameroonians aare good but to be frank zairois are simply INCREDIBLE...just hear Seigneur's voice inn this one...just easy, easy, easy and u get it just getting into your system like it is sang.
Ahan! Merci, Tabu Ley. Merci Malala.
This was our favourite among the many fantastic Congolese songs in Dar es Salaam in 1964-5

I think this came out 1963-5 and people in Mwanza were crazy with this song. Actually there was Omo laundry soap.

Malala1974,
Thanks for the great job you are doing. I must say I am jealous, envious!!!! Congo has all of these, and Cameroon has no such anthology on the web!!!
Please help us put whatever Cameroonian oldies you can find (messi martin, aloa javis, etc) especially between 1950 and 1970.

Hello Alfredo,
I was a kid in primary school Ebubu, Tombel of the then SW Province - no, West Cameroon- of Cameroon. I lived this song live when it came out in 1968.
Even today I like playing the strings of that solo guitar there.
You say Camerooninas are good? Where is our own store of music like the RDC anthology that you have on here?
