  • @scootsey Its from a Chanel ad.

  • @scootsey it´s not a painting, it´s a photo, edited from a Chanel TV advertisement done in the 90´s, for Egoïste Platinum-fragrance for men, and made by Jean-Poul Goude. You can find the video of this ad in You tube, I´ve already found it!

  • It's Prokofiev by the way

  • this song reminds of the rise of bolshevism and the USSR!

  • This piece makes me think of schizophrenia. The soft parts where the individual seems to have a normal life, only to be caught up every time by the powerful pulsations within him. In the end, pulsations of passion and pitilessness are triumphant, he will never recover...

  • That picture is amazing - does anyone know where I can get a high resolution version?

  • Chapter 2: The Egyptian time gate portal thingy.

  • Reklama Okocimia :]

  • Listening to this music will make you a B0SS

  • That man in the picture is fighting with his shadow. And winning.

  • @NeonRabies it is not his shadow! question yourself further

  • @orb1t4l The shadow of his former self! O.O

  • I don't know, the main theme in this piece always makes me feel as though something terribly wrong is moving forward and can't be stopped or even slowed - I feel like it crushes everything in its path.

  • Thumbs in my ass if Simpsons DIDN'T send you here.

  • @LassesIndex

Who the hell still watches the Simpsons?

  • @Hogey0

Excellent question, my good man; Simpsons has indeed degenerated into a pile of unfunny shit. They should stop producing it while they still can retain their image, given that it's not already ruined.

  • Comment removed

  • @Hogey0 I do!!

  • @AlexAriev i pity the fool

  • @Hogey0 I do!

  • @LassesIndex nop, was in the play Romeu and Juliet, that i participate 3 years ago, this was the Dance part.

  • musica de gran fuerza solo los rusos la hacen

  • The apprentice ;)

  • The apprentice ;)

  • @andrehitsoy I call myself a dark artist. I enjoy music like this all the time. I enjoy wearing black at every interval, and have a morbid sense of humour. Being dramatic is my "food" I LOVE to act like there's no hope in the world left.

  • piękny patetyzm, prawie jak u harrisona, nadawało by się do "star wars - uprowadzenie gwiazdy śmierci" :)

  • I feel awesome when I listen to this.

  • country of origin?

  • @deadlyram2k6 Sergei Profokiev is a Russian composer, so it would be Russia.

  • @1lonelyprince: Why so serious? Stop being dramatic...

  • Thumbs up if the Simpsons sent you here!!!

  • usually I'm a fun guy who likes to joke around and live life. but when it comes to when I get serious and dramatic (I'm an actor) I always get this great masterpiece in my head.

  • This song always gives me a raging boner, he's straining at the stump by the mid section...

  • The best

  • @trepetro There's this medication that can alleviate all that tension & stress you're feeling. it's called Prozac. Try it and maybe you'll mellow out enough so that you're not being forced to type in all caps.

  • Have a cigar.Standing on a chair.Conquer the world.Listen to this song.emperor,''I am Napoleon,I am Emperor'' atleast thats how i react when i listen to this song

  • the song when you are at the court in a trial being judged D:

  • *Cough* Necrophagist - Only Ash Remains ''outro'' *cough*

Yes, I do listen to metal and classical music; and jazz, blues, progressive etc. Don't you dare to judge me, open your mind instead.

  • @shenkeey The same :)

  • @DeathSeventyOnexD Awesome <3 Pretty weird though; when people ask me what kinda music I listen to I sometimes reply with ''Well; Dying Fetus, Franz Liszt, Guthrie Govan, Vital Remains'' etc haha

  • this song is part of Romeu and Juliet, that has others within. this is surely one of the best ones.

  • This is my 3 year-old son's theme song LOL. His nickname is Lil' Nero, because he acts just like a tyrant Roman emperor.

  • the apprentice :D

  • This song makes me want to do everything. Learn philosophy, fight a strong man from a circus, eat a squid, swim across the ocean, sky dive, study every culture, resurrect the dead, explode, reincarnate myself into a pigeon, poop on everyone's car I hate, then kill myself by flying into a window, due to the fact that I'm a pigeon and can no longer listen to this song.

  • @0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Eat a squid? Eww...

  • @0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Best comment ever.

  • Jester music

  • Amazing I'mstarting to listen to Prokofiev can anyone tell me some stuff i should know about him ?

  • Do not underestimate our Russian Friends ladies and gentlemen; and always bear in mind that Russia payed the greatest sacrifice for the liberty of Europe in defeating the diabolical nazi doctrine. Весь день; И много удовольствия во время прослушивания Prokovjev. Arjan Peter van den Ende / Alblasserdam / Netherlands

  • @vandenende1 They may have defeated the diabolical Nazi doctrine, but at the price of their own doctrine, which argueably was just as bad, if not worse. More people died under their rule, than the Nazis.

  • @MessiahComing atleast they aren't faschist ! Also that's because stalin was an idiot if lenin was in power it would be much better

  • @unionjackolantern Lenin caused more deaths than the Tsar did after his take over. Honestly, without the genocide, I would rather live in a fascist society, than a communist one. Atleast in a fascist society, you don't have the native population trying to flee.

  • @MessiahComing Actually lenins whole purpose was about peace and freedom. The Tzar was a greedy person who only cared about himself so the people (not just lenin) stormed the palace and caused casualties. It was stalin that killed more people.

  • @unionjackolantern If you knew anything about the revolution, he didn't storm the palace and take power from the Tsar. He took power from the democratic government that had succeeded the emperor, who had already abdicated. I won't argue that Stalin killed more people, but really, Lenin killed more people than the Tsar.

  • @MessiahComing no, lenin did not storm the palace the people did, the people who were staving and dying due to the tzars greed and neglect. As biased as it sounds, me being russian obviously gives me a little more knowledge at the subject at hand. If there was no revolution every last russian soilder would have been slain. The russian army was so weak they were attacking with pitchforks the people fought to stop the war not because they wanted death but to stop death an violence.

  • @unionjackolantern Except for the fact that the Tsar wasn't in power.

  • @unionjackolantern Not to mention, my family was one of the Russian Menonite families forced out during the revolution. I had the opportunity to speak with survivors first hand.

  • @MessiahComing Good for you. No one cares so just shut up and listen to the beautiful music.

  • @s00pafr33k Fuck off. I was trying, until I saw an ignorant asshole ruining it for me, by posting soviet propaganda.

  • @MessiahComing i was never posting soviet propaganda. Further more I am allowed to have my own opinion, if that bothers you i do not give a shit. Yesit wasn't handled as peacefully as it should have been but it was a fucking revolution not a pillow fight

  • you feel very imposing and quite overwhelming to people when this song plays in the back of your head

  • this music was used in Caligula

  • Imagine the ground shaking with this playing and hearing everyone shout "It's Godzilla!"

  • oh my god, i love this!

  • The best masterpiece for presenting a villain in a play!

  • caligulla

  • @CaptainKadmos HEIL

  • @deadlyram2k6 sorry, what?

  • ummm, this is Prokofiev - Romeo and Juliet Op 64 Montagus And Capulets. It's Prokofiev not Prokoviev 00:00 - 00:05

  • Du pur génie, de l'étoffe de Bach, Beetov ou encore Brahms, en l'espèce, à amha.

  • Hey now I have learned alot from "The Simpsons" not too much useful but still some things, liek what good music sounds like. But stay on track youtube should not be a chalk board to write whatever you want ha, read the name it does not say "The Simpsons" or any other spam thats been going around lately

  • And the name of another vaguely familiar and liked classical piece has been discovered!

Thanks much for posting it for me to stumble on.

  • 742053 views were made by me.

  • Sunderland AFC -- A Love Supreme! (Our opening music if you didn't know (the opening part up till the solo on the trumpet))

  • "Only Ash Remains" - Necrophagist

  • @slaveshallserve36 what you mean whit that , does necrophagist make a version fo this?

  • An excellent piece. Every TV show or Film in existence with a really dangerous or creepy scene just has to feature this piece. I'm not really into classical but this is excellent.

  • Feel like Caligula (Y)

  • Isn't this Montague and Capulet?! I'm so confused! Explain to me! Dx

  • @JustMerpMan Hey! ''Montagues and Capulets'' was the name of the piano transcription of the original orchestral piece for ballet which was ''Dance of the Knights'' hope that helps :)

  • @danielwills93 Thanks! (:

  • Could someone please tell me the instrument after 1:55?
