  • I think for now ubuntu develop unity desktop based of this remik neetbook ubuntu: D

    CMIIW

  • is it possoble upgrade its own normal ununtu to the netbook remix? thanks1! :)

  • @matrixITALIA

Sorry but Ubuntu Netbook Remix does not longer exists.

This is the old 10.4 LTS look and feel.

10.10 has been developed with the older Unity release then Unity has been included in Ubuntu standard edition as new unified interface for netbooks and desktops.

In my opinion the modern full desktop version with Unity is heaviest, unusable and more complicated than the old 10.04 netbook edition, but I'm not Mark Shuttleworh ;).

  • @ElDuraMinga i did it m8! and it is the best looking operative system ever! :D, i love linux! everythings work perfect! ubuntu has something magic inside...... ;) thanks anyway! :)

  • @matrixITALIA

You can achieve pretty much the same result by executing this in terminal:

    sudo apt-get install netbook-launcher-efl

This will install a version of the netbook launcher from Netbook Remix. After installing it you need to log out and change the Session menu to netbook launcher, then log back in.

I've installed it on Linux Mint and it works great.

Not sure if it will work with the latest Ubuntu but it'll definitely work with 10.10, it's probably worth a shot on 11.

  • @matrixITALIA You can download the ubuntu-10.04-netbook-i386.iso.torrent from ubuntu . com/download/ubuntu/alternative-download.

  • 1997 a girl called lauren was walking through a forest and she disappeared no one ever found her until 2000when a young girl called mary found her body and markings on her chest saying: I wast pretty enough" and now you have read this she will appear in your mirror saying your not pretty enough and kill you. by the way the girl called mary died shortly after. To be saved paste this to 5 other videos. This is TRUE im posting this because I don't lay withmylife

  • What's the resolution ?

  • @MrTyAaron

  • I love this song. Very old timey.

  • Hey what's that song, I kinda like it!

(and no-one dare comment about my, or the creator of this video and our musical taste

  • YO. where you at.

  • haha cool video I'm testing 10.10 version

  • Gee that song is so fucking horrible, please mute it! Holy fuck...

  • i belive packard bell is still viable company in foreign markets

  • I love this song!!!!!!

  • no offense, but WTF with the song?!?!

  • @omghom

I opened a youtube page (firefox+flash) and many other applications together, to test the stability and the performances under heavy load. And I like that song !

  • @ElDuraMinga

yeah, i saw you opening it, but even though the song's got rythm the lyrics are so weird xD

  • @ElDuraMinga dude dont listen to anyone about song, be your self and dont let anyone make choices for you on what to listen...fuck them...amazing video man.

  • Hi, thanks. But I was never really worried about my musical tastes. This song is an icon of the nonconformity, as like as an old Packard Bell netbook with Ubuntu in the iPAD era (Think Different).

  • @Pavelkovinru chill out man, i never offended ElDuraMinga and i never said the song was horrible or anything like that. everyone has their own musical tastes, and if he likes that song then so be it ;)

  • @omghom alright im sorry, i got ya dude :D

  • @Pavelkovinru not a problem ;)

  • @omghom Thats the song from the TV series WEEDS!

  • @MrBWatty ... yes it is ;)

  • That's a Packard Bell netbook? I didn't know weather that company went out of business or not.

  • @megamanfan3

    I don't know, it's possible.

I bought this netbook a couple of weeks ago at half price, in a supermarket in Italy and in this country there are still a lot of low cost products marked PB.

Indeed, the netbook (dot_s it 012) ,seems to be a rebranding of the ACER 1, with the same pieces included battery.

The original OS was an horrible customized XP, with Ubuntu it becomes usable.

  • @megamanfan3 They are still in business I believe, but I don't think they ship to the US anymore.
