Maybe this whole David Tennant will be in the 4 2009 specials is just a bluff so that we wouldnt be surprised by it when the regeneration did come. And everyone is saying they dont want him to regenerate but don't you think on some level that it would be such an anti-climax if he didn't? It would be rusbbish for him to say, "Im regenerating" and then suddenly stop and go "Oh look, Im still me." Not that i want David Tennant to leave. I just hope they come up with a decent reason if he doesn't.
hes not leavin they hav alredi filmed the xmas special nd hes init just saw da pics!!! im wonderin if this is where all the rumers bout chris eccleson cumin bac fall in to place! i also read that the doctors hand in the jar plays a big part in the final episode so im wonderin if he discovers a way 2 change bac usin the DNA from the hand?? David is DEF not leavin! theres no way the BBC would be able 2 keep it quiet! they tried and failed with davros! XxX
I think the eccelston rumours came from a fuzzy video taken from the stolen earth. It is still on youtube and shows the scene where that bald guy with a northen accent throws a brick at a dalek. This was posted before the episode was shown on TV, and because of the low quality, people mistook him for Eccleston
its either he actually does change for the episode and then some wierd time paradox thingy happens and so he turns back into Dave. Or his regeneration goes worng, which i doubt because it just wouldn't happen.
plus, David Tennant has signed up for 2009, not so sure about 2010 though.
He's not out of regenerations. Timelords get 12 (regenerations), David was caused by the 9th, making him the 10th incarnation. Even counting that regeneration, he still has at least 2
Without the Timelord to regulate Regenerations, he may have unlimited. Remember what we heard from the Master, the Timelord revived him to fight the Time war. Meaning they gave him at least one extra regenerations.
Oh, I know that. I was just saying that even if they still had the limit, he still wouldn't have run out yet, he'd have at least 2 regenerations left either way
How fucking cheap that would be. I know Moffat's got plans for it, but "everything has it's time, and everything dies". I'd rather show do new things and satisfy witless, unimaginative fanboys.
I highly doubt that the Doctor is "really" regenerating, mainly because it's such an obvious mistake in terms of storytelling to replace Tennant with a new actor right in the middle of an arc. Having the Doctor regenerate as a cliffhanger automatically causes the audience to not want it to happen, meaning that we would hate the "new" Doctor by default, something I doubt the producers would want to have happen. Plus no one wants some new person resolving Tennant's plot.
I do agree. In much the same way that Chris eccelston resolved his Dalek situation and then David Tennant Came along, the current doctor can't be interupted mid-story.
david tennant desnt leave,, he leaves in series 6, the dalek shot him at 1 side whish means he only has one heart working, so he could regenerate a new heart or summit. The next doctor is said to be james nesbitt who played jekyl , it should be good but noone can replace david tennant, ever,, i love him sooo much lmao:D
I also doubt that tennant will leave, but i reckon it has something to do with his Hand in the Jar. I noticed some breif camera shots of it and the camera angles used to include it most of the shots.
David Tennant regenerated back to him selve. That was why cool

They should have an episode where Matt Smith meets David Tennant.
That would be awesome!
StormDragoonX199 2 months ago
@MissAchiever the reason he regenerated was because David quit the show, (also I don't think he had the hand at the time)
njf99 2 months ago
@mario4kix898 exactly. That's why in lets kill hitler the voice interface told the doctor that he was out of regeneration.
Omuraspencer 2 months ago
If you count this as a regeneration that would mean he's used up eleven of his twelve regenerations.

he regenerated into the BBC logo?

Not really. The regeneration was never completed, he just healed himself, his body didn't change, therfore he is still the Tenth Doctor.

@Adamdre he regenerated, but he used his DNA from his old hand to stay the same

David Tennant CANNOT GO. Imagine how many people are gonna have their hearts broken tomorrow at 6:20pm if he's gone!
I will be devestated! He's the life and soul of the entire series!
John Simm would be a stupid person to replace him cos he was The Master. I reckon LEE EVANS would be a laugh as the Doctor!lol

Besides, I bet the Doctor would have a better plan to defeat the Daleks than chuck a brick at them and run off.

But although i'll miss Tennant, i just want to see who the 11th doctor is!

Bye bye Tennant!
Myself and other DW fans, particuarly my mate Abi, will miss you.
Oh and they wouldntt cast John Simm as The Doctor because he played The Master.
And apparently the 11th Doctor is gonna be James Nesbitt (Think I spelt that right).

As i have said to others, i think his hand will have something to do with it
Gorphoz 3 years ago
Yeah, I thought that too. Why else would they include the hand in shots throughout the series?
Also, I'm pretty sure he's out of regenerations.
The whole time pocket could have something to do with it, too. I'm not sure how, but...
David Tennant HAS to stay the doctor!
