  • Finally, a musical performance of this piece. Nice work. I can tell by your technique that you've studied guitar. Are you a music major?

  • Very good to my ears. I have just posted the same tune - the chord at 46 always feels awkward to me. You made it sound very musical rather than an exercise. Well done. Im subbing you for this as I play classical guitar too. Cheers

  • This is also a very beautiful piece when played Tremolo. I prefer it way more!

  • Very nice

  • very good your video I know the fiare also the number 2 but not aussibien than you! ;-)

  • 4 guys missed the like button... I LIKE IT!!!

  • young man, you are an inspiration. you play beautifully and have a real future if you keep at it. Thanks so much for sharing!

  • excellent

    congratulations

esta chevere el video ya casi me lo aprendo

    siga adelante

  • No emotion, this piece must be played Moderato con Espressivo and there are supposed to be a lot of interpretations in this piece. You are playing it in a monotone way.

  • Very smooth playing--a joy to hear.

  • thanks Joe!! I'm learning a lot of Carcassi's 25 Etudes. Carcassi, Sor, Aguado, Carulli, etc. were the early masters!

  • jajajaja estos estudios son inolvidables, no como los de Sor que son una tortura jajaja

  • y es que la verdad q aburre sor, prefiero carcassi!!

  • you're so very right man... so very right!

  • I quite like this piece I might have to try it

  • Apoyando would mute the second string, so it doesnt seem like a good way to play it, maybe for technical purposes its alright since its a study and its really ugly anyways :)

  • my flamenco teacher makes play the 16ths apoyando ... have u tried that?

  • Very well played, there is a lot of variations on the right hand you can try to develop technique, this is why I like the etude. There is Pima mama Pima imim Pima mima Pima cami Pima Pima Pima Pami ( this tremolo version along with im seems fastest ) Pima PiPi Pima PiPm Pima PmPi Try them out everyone, you will develop a strong right hand and nice job Joe, I really enjoy the clean playing !
  • Your playing is excellent, I think the best performance of this Etude on Youtube. I would follow the dynamic markings in the music a little more closely though, as your playing makes you out to be a bit of a typewriter...an excellent typewriter, don't get me wrong. LOL But a typewriter nonetheless.

Also interesting that you use "mama" for the repeated 16ths. That would make for a great exercise for those who use "mimi" (like me).

Work out those dynamics a bit, otherwise - bravo!

  • You're good! I can play 2 songs of Carcassi; study in A minor and Caprice in C. Don't know more about them than that.. I've played the classical guitar for 5 years. I'm gonna put some videos or audio tapings so that people can say what they think. Anyway, GREAT!

  • Try to play this study by skiping the repeated notes.I think that it will make it by far more interesting and an excellent practice to improve your left hand travelling along the neck.

  • Thanks for your tip. It's an interesting thought.

I was focusing on my right hand only and didn't pay attention to my left hand.

  • the repeated notes of each chord should be done in the following sequence:

    a m i a m

  • You're right. Check this out,

    watch?v=X9uDRZ-eT8c

I would like to practice my weekest a-m combination.

  • sorry for my wrong spelling.

I mean a-m is my weakest combination. So it's good to practice and gain control of it.

  • no, its pima mama. also though with pima mimi and pima mima

  • Well done! but, it's not a little fast?

    My Best

    Marcos

  • IMO, it's an etude. 1st, play it whatever sounds good. 2nd, play it whatever speed I can control.

    Thanks for comment.
