I like the content of the video and the message behind it. However, I have to ask. Who edited this? They did a bad job. These are things in here that could have been edited with some crappy microsoft program. It would have taken 2 seconds.
Yeah, cuz the owners of a local store don't just you know...put any money in the bank or spend ANY money outside the county, they all immediately go out and piss it away on late night burritos and organic veggies.
The whole "buy local" to achieve an end is a fallacy, do what makes you feel good, if owners want a "10% increase in business" they'd better provide a better product at a better price than the megolith up the street!
This is the most economically illiterate nonsense I've ever heard. Competition drives innovation. If you simply 'buy local' like an idiot, your neighbors won't innovate. If they're forced to compete with national chains, they'll offer quirky alternatives, a better atmosphere, etc.
If you want to move to a REAL city, move to Atlanta, If you want to move to a city that is REAL-LY the way a city should be move to Austin !!
Atlanta is like others, Austin is like no other...Just like Madison WI, Ann Arbor MI, Boulder CO...All have positives and negatives and are different from each other, but they represent loving life and getting the most out of life...In a city like Austin you will be so motivated to get lots out of life !!
Never been to Atlanta, but Austin for sure. I do know that if you move to Atlanta, you will probably be living in the suburbs because that all most people can afford.
