The T-90 is meant to be a bullet stopper, that is, its meant to be used in large numbers to overcome a superior enemy. Its armor is built to withstand common weapons, but the US arms its troops with extremely good weapons that would make easy work of a T-90.
The gun on the T-90 is the same as that on the T-72, which we know cannot destroy an Abrams.

@Skidern Russian forces and Spetsnaz use AK47 only in training, because AK47 is easy, dont need to take care much of it, so recruits learn basics of AK, they dont use AK47 since 60's, it got replaced by AKM (modernized version of AK47), later they repalced it with AK74 and in 90's with AK74M (modernized AK74), now they are producing AK100 series and newest AK so far is now AK200. Parallely Russians have other assault rifles liek Groza, AN94 and AEK941. WHich are tested by Spetsnaz.

A recruit would have to dedicate his life to running, instead of soldiering. And learning 4 languages? BUDS training focuses on more on mental, SEALS training focuses more on finesse. US, SEALS have different stages for training, as well as different special forces. Where as Russia, depends on their Spetsnaz the most. Plus, they are border by China, NK, and other European nations. While we only border Canada and Mexico. Russia have more competition.

seal training is 7 months but to get there they were training for a lot longer than 5 years. american military is way better. Delta is better than Spetsnaz.

Many Spetsnaz die in GRU though fatalities are widespread in any other division.4 languages is a fact.And I know that Spetsnaz are dropped 5 meters(probably a safe way for a helicopter to leave immediately).They are dropped higher especially over water and at moving speed.
@dolippa Seals training is actually 18+ months, even though it is shorter, it is more coordinated. Not just a bunch of gorillas running around and smashing each other's face in. You make them sound weak, Seal qualifications are: Swim 500 yards within 11 minutes. Rest 10 mins. 42 pushups (within 2 mins) rest 2 mins 50 sit-ups within 2 mins rest 2 mins 6 pull ups (no time limit) rest 10 mins and run 1.5 miles within 11 minutes. And that's IF you can make it through BUD/s, do some more research.

try spending 2 weeks in forest with only a tent, weapon and full gear. You get the food from nature. And top of that it's -20 c... The drills make you warm but once you start cooling down after sweating it's just shit. That's Finnish army. Im not saying it's better the Seals or Spetsnaz, but it sure is rough. We had to do those qualification things above with full bags in our back. Except for the swimming and sit-ups of course.

you can have the greatest fighters in the world, be the best shooters or the most endureed or have the most intense training but if you dont have good support elements to go with the Operators then they are useless. Example you have a plane full of Spetsnaz but do not have the abiliy to shield their radar signature then that entire team is useless. If you Spets. team can speak 4 languages but doesnt have a SATCOM system to talk to other people because the rest of you miltary is shit.

The T-90 is meant to be a bullet stopper, that is, its meant to be used in large numbers to overcome a superior enemy. Its armor is built to withstand common weapons, but the US arms its troops with extremely good weapons that would make easy work of a T-90.
The gun on the T-90 is the same as that on the T-72, which we know cannot destroy an Abrams.

It's preferred by some special purpose troops, because it is damn reliable, works everywhere (winter (-40 C easily) summer, coast, mountains (even tho in mountain air there is almost no oxygen) et cetera) and it has ammunition with balls 7.62 Russian (that shit tears targets apart, if so is wanted), very viable option taking in all of the factors.

@Skidern Russian forces and Spetsnaz use AK47 only in training, because AK47 is easy, dont need to take care much of it, so recruits learn basics of AK, they dont use AK47 since 60's, it got replaced by AKM (modernized version of AK47), later they repalced it with AK74 and in 90's with AK74M (modernized AK74), now they are producing AK100 series and newest AK so far is now AK200. Parallely Russians have other assault rifles liek Groza, AN94 and AEK941. WHich are tested by Spetsnaz.

Absolute rubbish. The world record for 10km run is 26:17. There is no way whatsoever that ANY physical training in ANY regiment would make this a requirement. Not even Special Forces. A recruit would have to dedicate his life to running, instead of soldiering. And learning 4 languages? What a pointless waste of manpower for those who couldn't. 5 years? what with no ops? because that's the best training an SF could get.
Even comparing SF's is ridiculous!

None of us should speak because none of us have been through it or have any idea what either training is like so just shut the fuck and and use your brain to realize you would not be able to make it through either of the two training pipelines. @dolippa by the way the seals basic is only 7 months thats not including there other schools that the navy seals go through im not saying i would fuck with a spetsnaz but at least understand that navy seals have intense training as well navy seals have proven themselves on the battle field look up operation red wing.

@dolippa the reason SEAL training is 7 months is because americans do everything right the first time. Seal qualification training is 7 months but there training continues even when they have graduated from Seal school. when they arent on a mission they are training. you have no proof that SEALS are inferior to Spetznaz.

@joejackson16 Actually, BUDS (Fresh meat) trains for 7 months. When they are finished they are SEALS, from then on they will go to weapon training. BUDS training focuses on more on mental, SEALS training focuses more on finesse. US, SEALS have different stages for training, as well as different special forces. Where as Russia, depends on their Spetsnaz the most. Plus, they are border by China, NK, and other European nations. While we only border Canada and Mexico. Russia have more competition.

@joejackson16 Depends on the tasks, all special forces are train for specific tasks. You can't go and say that SEALS are the best in the world. The Israeli special forces are amazing also, imo they are one of the best special forces, since they grow up in a war zone their sense of alertness are higher than most. Also, we as a nation are getting more and more out of shape, due to laziness. That can indicate even though our SEALS are the best, the rest isn't ?

To be quite honest the Spetsnaz are probably the worlds greatest badasses, the americans to be quite honest are arrogant, America is better in a warzone, Spetsnaz are more like third echeloned from splinter cell, they go in, and get shit done.

I was lucky enough to receive 1 month of training by a Spetsnaz agent during their stay here in the US and it was amazing-and brutal even a Green Beret friend of mine couldn't keep up with the demands of Spetsnaz training.
as for why they train so hard look at all of what they deal with in Mother Russia...they are SWAT AND Special Forces all at once...so imagine if the SEALS or Green Berets had to do SWAT duties also ON TOP of hunting down terrorist abroad...

Hey ass faggots. Stop bullshittin around. As of now we can't tell if the seals are "better" than the spetsnaz fore there hasn't been any conflict between them. The spetsnaz training is far more hardcore than the seals'. In fact, the spetsnaz training would be ILLEAGLE in the US.. But that doesn't mean they are better. We will never know for sure untill they are at war.

BUD/s = 6 months
Advanced SEAL training = 2 1/2 years

@Vultar666 The 7 month training is not true nor is the 10km sprint, but all the other facts is probably true. Many Spetsnaz die in GRU though fatalities are widespread in any other division.4 languages is a fact.And I know that Spetsnaz are dropped 5 meters(probably a safe way for a helicopter to leave immediately).They are dropped higher especially over water and at moving speed.

@michael1995hamilton The training with deathrates and lots of fatalities are found in Spetsnaz GRU, those freaky mysterious guys.Im not sure about the running and smashing their heads in but those are just for show.And Im pretty sure thats not the only training they have, they had mind conditioning and they knew how to pilot airplanes, tanks.But 75%? of GRU's training are unknown.Respect for the SEALs.

try spending 2 weeks in forest with only a tent, weapon and full gear. You get the food from nature. And top of that it's -20 c... The drills make you warm but once you start cooling down after sweating it's just shit. That's Finnish army. Im not saying it's better the Seals or Spetsnaz, but it sure is rough. We had to do those qualification things above with full bags in our back. Except for the swimming and sit-ups of course.

you can have the greatest fighters in the world, be the best shooters or the most endureed or have the most intense training but if you dont have good support elements to go with the Operators then they are useless. Example you have a plane full of Spetsnaz but do not have the abiliy to shield their radar signature then that entire team is useless. If you Spets. team can speak 4 languages but doesnt have a SATCOM system to talk to other people because the rest of you miltary is shit.

@dolippa it takes the spetsnaz 5 years to learn what a us Spec ops task force learns in 7 months? are they slow? and i know i sound rude but you are talking about a full 5 years training and doing drills even after spetsnaz learn their shit right? seals don't always get to go out. know why? cause a single seal team is so effective the others get all the fun taken away, so all they do is train and practice, some for an entire decade before they get discharged. don't bullshit yourself, please.
