Sonic Unleashed was cool, the night time acts just destroyed the game imo. And also the day stages were too linear, but freaking fun like the Rooftop run stage. Sonic Generations addresses that but the stages are far too short... I prefer 5 minute length stages...

I still don't understand why people hate this game so much. Yes the werehog sections weren't great, but they were mediocre at worst, it's not like the rest of the game wasn't simply awe-inspiring. Personally... Colours was a let down after Unleashed for me.

@SultanaKidStudios Colors had a different gameplay style, that's for certain. It was mostly 2D, and the 3D parts were not very challenging. It looks like Sonic Generations will have modern Sonic gameplay that is closer to HD Unleashed daytime stages. But hopefully improved to have better control, and more platforming in 3D.

@SultanaKidStudios I agree, ColoUrs was 2D most of the time, and I play a 3D sonic game to get a 3D perspective, plus...his speed is greatly reduced there compared to Unleashed, but since the Wii is such a wek piece of shit, you could easily expect those kinds of limitations, that's why Generations is faithful to the Unleashed formula...and no more crappy wisp power, which slowed the gameplay down a lot, I sort of enjoyed Colors, but I was expecting way more from a so-called "sequel" to this...

@SultanaKidStudios I do, different people enjoy different things, one thing we may agree on though is Sonic is by far one of the most addictive and creative franchises of all, in fact I completely abandoned Mario once I played a Sonic game, what I can't get is why reviewers have put so much hate on it all these years...except colors, they took it easy on that one, I guess any gameplay outside of speed is considered bad...I think it gives variety to Sonic though.

He isn't wrong, anyone who owns the wii version and not the 360/ps3 version should definitely pick it up. I finished the wii version first and it was enjoyable, but it has WAY too many werehog stages which aren't even as fun as the other version's werehog stages. Plus the speed, gameplay and graphics of the day time levels, not to mention the length, diversity and number of them, makes the wii version look like shit.

If you only have a wii though go buy sonic colors for the wii, its awesome.

In my opinion, I think sonic unleashed daytime is still a bit better than sonic colors... I think that game needs a bit more polishing up. But they still have the idea there... sonic colors is just what we want but feels a little.....unsatisfying compared to sonic unleashed daytime...
