I checked out Talon. $10,000, eh? Looks like a Les Paul Studio (retails new for about $799), Marshall MG full stack (retails for around $829). So far your in about 1600 bucks. I know that required a lotta dumpster divin'. You rehearse 40 hours a week? Ever heard the saying "work smart, don't work hard?" Dude, if you're a rock star, go do rock star stuff, whataya hangin' around youtube for? lol
excellent piece of gear and great playing to demo the capacity of this device. I personally have one of these myself and I think it is the best processor for the money period. I also use a Roland VG-99 and some of the modelers of the Behringer sound better than the Roland. You can't beat it for the price!!!!
I can't get recordings to sound this high quality. Did you use L or R or the headphone output? Im running the same thing... V amp out into the terrible default soundcard.
this doesnt really show anything, because your tones are being THICKENED by the original guitar on the original recording, so its similar to double tracking, thanks for trying though
i`ve never tried the rack mounted but the original version v-amp 2 is very cool , i have the pod line 2.0 too.the v-amp is less complicated and the sound is best , its my opinion. For the direct recording it made great job , all the track was recorded with v-amp and no mod on it with software to adjust anything no eq etc... direct from v-amp to soundcard.Good investment.
..can you give me the settigs of Metallica, megadeth and anthrax's sound??? i have vamp pro but i never find the optimal sound..you did a very good work! luca.frigo@alice.it, by
Hey, Im a tone freak... and I was wondering if it would be wise investing in the rack mount version of this? I need an amp modeler and good eq (variablility) I play alot of hardcore... I need something that sounds good directly recorded and through my amp... leave me a reply :D
Well technically speakin, Dave used Rocktron's Prophesy preamps to produce his tones & effects. He used to send that signal into a clean marshall mono block head amp, now he uses custom Line6 heads. He is/was?? still using the Prophesy preamp for tone and effects with the new Line6 heads (just clean channel only), but i haven't heard of an update yet if he went 100% with the new Line6 heads for his live sound??
Dave Mustane from Megadeth NEVER used Crate, that was Marty Freedmon that used shitty crate amps. Dave M used Marshalls until Line 6 built him a custom head that blows the shit out of even his old Marshall stacks. More options to go with as far as tone goes.
All I can hear is the original track. If you are playing I can't hear you. The main guitar parts sound like the originals, a V Amp even through quality gear doesn't sound that close so I'm sorry but I don't believe you.
my original video was in stereo an dit was more clear than this one , but youtube doesn`t support stereo mode..But all that i know its im playing over the original songs.
Sometimes you can hear a little delay over the original.thank you
@tomgaf who gives a hairy rats ass if u believe or not,the v-amp sounds awesome.id pick it over line 6 crap any day, check some other v-amp vids youll see
im playing over the track its not for prove my playability to show the sound you can achieve.if you want to prove your virtuosity plug your old bc-rich untuned and play us something!
umm all I see is a slide show with text and the original somg played in the background. Sadly there is nothing here that demonstrates the V-Amp....in fact there is nothing to prove you even recreated the original guitar tracks to emulate the tone etc.
While I understand technical limitations of youtube...it would be better to actually show yourself recreating the tones.
its not here to prove anything, i just put some settings of the v-amp.If you can`t hear the difference with the original tracks , that`s because my setting is good :)(the youtube limitations doesnt too much )thank you
I apologize if my comments sounded rude. It was only meant that it would have been nice to see a more obvious tracking to see how closely the sound was modeled. It just seemed like a slideshow and didn't really give me any confidence in the emulation, I can only go on your word, since we don't know eachother your word means nothing to me.
hey man can u show me how to do the Metallica, megadeth or anthrax's sound... i have v-amp 2 but i dont know how to use it well

i never try the zoom but the v-amp 2 is very good.
pitelhead 3 years ago
V amp is better than the Zoom. But PODx3 is best ever in general. lol But V amp is a copy of the PODxT did you know that?
LightOfTruth777 3 years ago
ZoomG9...the amp simulations in there eats all the others for breakfast. No digital fizziness, either. Thank me later.

hey man ... lisn wat do u suggest frm zoom g1 vs v amp1 vs V amp 2 ??
soccerfan312 3 years ago
yes definitively , i have the line 6 pod 2.0 too, the v-amp is better for setup.
