  • You can't really call it a lesson when you only tell us the first note.. even in the slowed down version it's still *almost* impossible to see clearly how to play it..nevermind though, just gonna have fun for a few hours learning it by ear :) still a great upload, must be great being able to play it along with the record :P

  • Not Mick...YES IT IS

  • @HawkshadowXD

It's Mick. There's 2 guitarists in this records. Mark Knofpler and Mick Taylor. Both are very easy to recognise. They play in there style and sound. The only doubt I have is in your perception. Regarding who plays what in this record, I have no doubt.

  • Great Job! Please, do you can put the tab for us?

  • I like when you play the scael at the end. That really helped. Thank you

  • great playing , congrats, mate , super . berh

  • Great playing. Where can I find and download the backing track of this song?

  • @mathieusteps

I played with the original track by Bod Dylan behind. My guitar is louder and MT solo is then covered. But it is the original track ("Sweetheart like you" in Bod Dylan's LP "Infidel"). For your information, MT plays in various titles in this record.

  • muchas cheers, fella

the best kind of you tube guitar lesson-

no ugly face, no banal chatter. keep 'em coming.

  • great video. thank you.

  • She was the lead in a band called the Textones in the 80's, and played with many different artists. We both learned something.

    cheers,

    Mike

  • not Mick taylor, but excellent work

  • @leafhater1

Hi, thanks for the compliment. What do you mean by "not MT"?. If you mean MT Didn't play this solo, I'm affraid, you'rr wrong.

  • @paravent Actually you're right. I thought carla Olson did it, but she played his parts in Dylan's video

  • @leafhater1

Then I finally know the name of the girl handling the guitar in this video... fruitful exchange for both of us "cultural interest" !

  • Excellent my friend!!

  • Yes, very generous, lovely sounds.

  • Thanks mate! This is a help, don't know if I can make it but it definitely will help my guitar playing anyway.... And Yes, possibly the greatest solo ever, always gives me goose bumps whenever I listen to "Infidels"

  • Definitely some Hendrix feel in there. Awesome solo, man, you have a great touch and feel.

  • Great job!

  • killer job on this solo - do you know where i can find a tab to help with your lesson?

  • This has always been one of my favorite guitar solos of all time.

I got this solo down except for the very end when Taylor plays the two octaves. I will check out your tutorial. Thank you for putting up this video.

  • Beautiful job paravent ! Love it !!

Gotta go find my Infidels CD now.

  • Very helpful and beautifully played - Thank You!

  • That is Mick Taylor's best solo ever....at least in any released recordings. Some of his live stuff with the Stones was at this level or perhaps even better, but nothing you can buy on a CD or itunes. Thanks

  • Outstanding, well done!
