i saw a coment down there that said i pod touch should have more memory they put less cuz they couldnt put more i-pod touch DOES NOT HAVE A HARD DRIVE people its a FLASH DRIVE there is a diffrence flashdrives are quicker smaller and last longer BUT they don't have the same memory. 1 loss for several gains flash drives lasy 10 times longer than hard drives

nom8 the flash drives are about 15times slower then a regular hardrive but faster then the ipod video's but the classic is new and has a nwew hardrive that spins a lot faster about 40times so its like 75times faster responce rate then a ahardrive

I got mine yesterday.. I put my entire music collection, 3 snowboarding videos, a few eps of family guy, and all my photos.. and STILL have over 60% of my memory left lmfao.. I saw a few videos on here saying the wheel is unresponsive and it's slow and all that.. It's not true.. it flows very freely and easily.. only problem I encountered is the album artwork isn't avalible for alot of my CDs but you can upload your own pics for em so it still works.

Now this is more practical! The ipod touch has 16gb for the highest model while the ipod classic has ten times more than that which is 160GB! Sure the ipod touch has wifi but I rather use a laptop for that. No problem for me!

i think the touch sucks, 16gb memory, touch screen that will get scratched, complicated interface, plus, if you wanna go on WI-FI, you need an area with a wireless server. even if there is a wireless server, you have to sign into it or pay for it.

Agreed about the 16gb...I've got the iPhone though and the interface is definitely not complicated..much nicer than my iPod..The screen is glass, so doesn't scratch...unless you've got diamonds in your pocket. The wifi thing depends on your area...not too hard for me to find free wifi in mine.

Touch is cool and flashy, and the WiFi is great, but I'm and AVID mucis listener, and if it's only 16 gigs, that doesn't cut it for me. I have about 35 gigs of 128 kbps mp3s. Not to mention all of the full concerts I'll be downloading from the Live Music Archive once I get my iPod.

The only thing is that a Click wheel isn't an elegant solution. And you have to think from Apple's perspective. If the only difference is that it has a big wide screen thats not going to attract buyers. And its not like WiFi will either. People like the touch interface more than the idea of a Touchscreen click wheel.

not so sure about that 88501, i personally favour ipods for their simplicity... and the clickwheel is so easy. having to flick through menus etc and fancy flicky touchy things is not as easy and simple as an ipod...

the only reason they have been so popular is their simplicity, and the ipod touch is not a simple device from the looks of it
