You have amazing tone. Just make sure that when you get dynamically more intense that you don't let you pitch alter in any way.
Very nice low control as well. I'm not that familiar with the piece, but it sounds challenging and you don't sound not confident so I couldn't really pick out any parts that could've been wrong. Nicely done
Watch the time in the begining, the first couple dotted quarter notes were not in the same time (way rushed) as the pedal a's going to the low a's with the grace notes, also the High F was a little out of tune. But over all it sounded really good! Better then I can play it!
You have a really great sound. How long have you been playing bass tbone? You've got some pretty impressive comments like the other guy said be humble and don't let it go to you're head!
Very good! Your are very talented. Lots of very nice musical ideas. I like to suggest to make a little bit longer lines and not to play too seperate. Good articulation but a bit more phrasing.
he has remarkable tone and tonguing and excellent control of the low notes. well more sound volume control and not making those lows notes sound blatty. I'm a bass trombone player, formerly tenor, but i'm still working with bass, but i would love to be as good as this guy.
hey man your going to Eastman? I think your trombone choir is playing with us at the Eastern Trombone Workshop in Washington D.C. Cant wait to hear you guys.
Nice playing there! Whats the setup? Looks like an Edwards. You should post up the other pieces of Bass Lines. Too bad it seems like Spain is the only one that seems performable in a way. I am not a great player but I will prolly show my rendition of Spain or another movement of it. Nice shirt by the way.
can you upload a video where you tell us the notes please even just for me :)

Just tune some notes quicker sustain the notes and makes sure to keep a good solid release on some notes and you'll be fine

Watch out for intonation on the sustained notes.

@ieatbunnies3 The reason that his high F was a little out of tune was because he moved his slide out a little...and it was intentional

As the composer of Spain, I would like to say that this is an excellent performance. There is facile technique and high drama.

Blair Bollinger is the bass trombonist of Philadelphia. He has a solo cd where he plays this.

nice job on the solo but you left me hanging by using Blair's embellishment at the beginning and not taking the high D at the end. lol.
