  • muy bien por los autores de videos tutoriales que llegan hasta el final y no hasta que comienza uno a entender. (comento por los principiantes)

  • So awesome

  • @e11en511 Thank you! :)

  • SOMEONE SAID YOU WERE DEAD...WHAT A JERK!

  • @LILRHONDALEE lol, I guess that was just his way of asking where I was...

  • Mayybe ill try to make small ones and throw em at ppl who annoy me

  • That's not a sea urchin, that's a katamari! o_O

  • your voice so cuteeee :3 <3

  • @alexx58054 Thanks! :)

  • @Rosemarie995 i wanna take u home :3 <3 <3

  • @alexx58054 nana nananananana nanana nana

  • is marie or rosemarie ur real name btw:Awesome job

  • @artrocks224 Thanks!! :)

  • instead of using aa needle you can hot glue it its easier o.o

  • @myaccount2747 That's true. It's another option. The only bad thing about glue is that once it's glued, it's set and you can't change it or tweak it. So you have to make sure it's done right the first time.

  • you sound like micheal jackson

  • BAHAHA wow...

  • @CoryandAmandashow and you sound like an idiot. you just write an unrelated comment just to bring that really talented girl down wow youre pathetic.

  • you did an awesome job. I loved this. I was so pleased to see you use thread.

  • Thank you so much! I'm happy you liked it :)

  • DONE IT. that was the most complicated and difficult i have done so far but it looks great. thanks Rosemarie, your instructions were great. :)

  • Thank you! I'm glad I could help :)

  • its not oragami if you sew

  • @ChickenChikenMoose03 yes it is...

kusudamas can be sewn, also you can use glue and scissors no glue no cuts is just for challenges...

  • im having a big problem when make my rings of four they dont stand up and wen i make the entire thing it an oval not a circle plz reply i need help!!!!

  • That's ok if it doesn't stand up (you're referring to 1:30 and how it was standing up, right?). If you notice in the first 20 sec. of the video, I have a ring of four assembled and it's just laying flat. It shouldn't make a difference. Just don't tie the rings too loose. As for it being oval, I think it has to do with how tight (or loose) you're tying the rings and how tight (or loose) you're pulling everything together. I think yours might be too loose. Hope that helps. Good luck!

  • Thank you for this video, I haven't done much origami, I did a little when I was a child but saw something on TV the other day that reminded me of some I had done and have decided to get into it again and this is the most complicated one I have done (bearing in mind I had only ever done the crane and the dish with feet!). I love this design and look forward to creating more :-)

  • No problem! I was the exact same! When I was a kid, I used to do some origami, but not too much. Then later, I discovered there were so many more complicated designs that I really loved and wanted to do and that's when I really got back into it. I'm happy you enjoyed the video. :) Have fun folding!

  • @Rosemarie995 I took my sea urchin to work today and my friends were all really impressed by it! I found a video for a flower ball which I also made and it's lovely, can't remember who the video was by though! I hope I will be able to keep it up and make some more complicated designs :)

  • That's great! I love how they look so complicated, but really it's not that hard. I'm happy you're really getting into it! :)

  • good job tks

  • Thanks! :)

  • ok ok im confuse right now..... in part one u said u need 24 sheet of paper right?

now you need THE DOUBLE because there are 24 units...2 sheet per units so 48 sheet? am i right or not? ty

    ~xKirasaki

  • No, I said you need 24 UNITS, where each unit consists of 2 sheets per unit (you're correct - 48 sheets total). Sorry for the confusion. I checked Part 1 and although I said it correctly in the video, I wrote "24 sheets of paper" in the description box. It's fixed now. Thanks. Just a reminder though that the # of units you use depends on the size of your paper (I used 7x7 cm paper).

  • @Rosemarie995 ohhhh ok Thank You One Last Question....

Does between 7.5 - 8.3cm 24 units will be okay?

  • No problem!

Errr....I'm not too sure. It's really hard for me to tell what the size will be after it's folded. What I suggest is that while you're making your units, try placing them in a ring next to each other and see how many fit (make sure they're sitting flush next to each other), then sew them together and place some units on top of that ring and see how many of those fit, etc. That's how I figured 24. Hope that helps!

  • @Rosemarie995 cicat prost si esti lol

  • tank you ... i love the origami but i dont find videos of the kusudama sea urchin

  • No problem :)

That's too bad. I guess there aren't many sea urchin designs. Or no one has posted anything else. :(

  • @Rosemarie995 in cur no problem

  • Thank you so much for posting this tutorial (pt. 1 & pt. 2). I'm so glad to be able to make these myself now! Everyone smiles when they see them!

  • No problem! That's great to hear. :)

  • exellent video i meke it and it's relly hard i love you xD

    it's so awsome

    from chile

  • Thank you! :)

  • BONITO MODELO, PERFECT KUSUDAMA. ITS SO BEAUTIFUL

NICE VOICE THANKS!:*!:*!:*!:*! FROM MEXICO! JMCM

  • Thanks so much! :)

  • OMG u sound exactly like me xD

  • lol :D

  • This is great, but what type of paper should i use? Its so colorful!

  • Thanks! You can use regular Origami Paper (already square shaped), printing paper (cut to square shape), or even padded paper (that's already square shaped or cut to square shape). Each of those works fine. You can find origami paper at craft or paper stores and the square padded paper at Walmart (Astrobrights brand). It's best not to use paper that's heavier/thicker that these or it will be hard to fold precisely. And nothing too light/thin might not hold its shape. hope that helps :)

  • @Rosemarie995 Thank you very much!!! I've made 2 of these with printing paper. The first was blue and green and it looks almost the same as yours but its a little bigger. The second was with purple and pink and it's diameter is about 2 inches (i broke my fingers with it :D) I've made one bellflower kusudama also. I really like your lessons, they are just perfect! I am from Bulgaria and we don't have much choice of material here, I found some german origami paper "Heyda"...

  • Yay!! That sounds really pretty! I'm glad everything worked out and you were able to find suitable paper. :) Actually, if you're into online shopping, there's a bunch of sites that sell origami paper online. There's usually a very wide selection in colours and patterns. Anyways, I'm happy you like my videos! Thanks so much! :)

  • Thanks :)

  • Nice

  • thanks! :)

  • soo awesome :3 im currently making this and my peices are big Xp ill make a video once im done :D

  • Thanks! :) cool! It'd be great to see the video once you're done. :)

  • your demonstration is excellent

can you demonstrate the phu tran rose

i tried making it but i got stuck in the final steps

i will be soooo grateful for you

    thanks

  • Thanks for your comments! :) I'm glad you liked it.

  • unfortunately, I don't know how to make it and i can't find instructions. Check out tadashimori's channel...see the kawasaki rose vid. I read somewhere that that's actually phu tran's (although the title's different). sorry i can't post the link. when i try, youtube won't let me post my reply for some reason...

  • thanks sooooooo much

i saw this kusudama before in the book of Tamoko Fuse i liked it so much but now i can do it

  • oh my god!!! thank you thank you! this is the best thing ever!!!!

  • Thanks! I'm glad you like it! :)

  • muy bueno

  • Gracias! :)

  • r u kineese ^_^?

  • i don't know. what's kineese?

  • I like the video and the model and everything about the tutorial si there

the only problem is the model itself, it doesn't qualify as origami as it requires string to be held together

  • Yes, I've read that somewhere and I'm sure you're right. However, the author of the book which I got this from, Tomoko Fuse, calls it "Kusudama Origami". Also, I just classify it as origami because I have other non-origami videos on my channel and it may be easier for people to find the origami-related videos if I classify it this way. But I'm glad you liked it otherwise. :)

  • ya i mean i like and all and the video tutorial is pretty good just thought id mention that

  • WOW! its beautiful work and i think im gonna use your video to make me cute kusadama ball like the one that you did :D

  • This is once again another clear understanding on how to complete the model. Deja Vu like, the voice clearly directed what had to be done, therefore creating something anew and amazing. Once again, Fantastic Job!! :) Keep up the stunning work.

  • Thanks again so much, David!! :)
