this machine is amazing all who hate on it are broke jokes who cant afford to buy one. these things cant get stuck and they can go and do a lot of things that a ATV cant. from what ive seen .
wow obviously an argo is the BEST way to go moose hunting because you can go everywhere. and why would you get a blow up boat?it would be no better than an argo on water. argos arent meant to go fast or on rough water they are meant to go places where nothing else can go. id like to see how oyu get your quad in places where argos go viper1966
they are good we got one and it loads up 8 mans gear for a week, the back is full and 2 other trailers and it still does not stop at all.. but they take alot of time and work to get it always running good.
alot of 4 wheeler mudding vids on here, there i always more than one four wheeler and person, thats in case they get stuck, these things wont exactly get stucm thats y their by their selves
Who says that they're "DESTROYING" the habitat? Looks to me like the Argo's I'm seeing are just traveling mostly across simple creeks and along established deep muddy roads. It's not like they're bull dozers pushing down trees. Get over it tree hugger. People that hunt spent more $ to SAVE habitats world wide than they do destroying it. Just look up 'Ducks Unlimited' record of successes over the last 30 years. Same with Deer hunters, etc. Hunters want to PROTECT the land not destroy it. DUH.
@ticaille59 Specially the Argo will not disturb any ground....it´s ground pressure is so minimal, that it is a preferred machine for foresting applications!
@Zbyszkoz Too bad for you polish ass is,that they where out in the sixties already! You fuckers are the thieves of Europe and yet accuse everybody else to "steal" your all so awesome stuff....HAHA
my father is 6 feet tall and he says the leg room sucks, i havent been in one and im in the market looking for something along these lines im 6'5" and i can fit semi comfortable in the polaris 6x6 i own, would anyone be able to tell me if these have adequate leg room for some one of my size?
The Argo 8x8 Avenger would most likely fit for you. But i recommend that you visit us at argoatv. com and contact them about what they think. Also, on the website, you can find a local dealer near you who will help you out.
So what you're trying to say is your daddy owns one and you get to drive it sometimes. That's quite cute. I bet there is some nice home videos of you driving with a booster that you'll be able to watch when you're all grown up.
I can get my 500CC 4x4 Quadrunner ATV into a helluva lot more locations other than this floating boat. Namely, the back of a truck.. True, my ATV won't drive in Ass Deep swamp water but that's not where I hunt nor do I want to haul 3 to 5 other people around w/ me when I head out. So unless I'm wading around in ass deep mud w/ no bottom, I don't need an Argo. My ATV will take me up any where I want to go. Then I go from there via foot. What's an Argo cost to gas up? $100+ bucks? Mine cost $3.00
6gals? I bet that beast eats up 6 gallons like I do a spare rib. I know a guy who had one & he said it was funky to drive, with stick controls & all, & when it came time to change out the wheel bearings, bend over friend. An Argo has at least 6 maybe 8 wheel bearings to change while a 4 wheeler has, well, only 4 & mine are VERY easy to access & replace. For my purposes an Argo, although cool, is just too darn big. Nice that they do float. Sure would be a bitch to get sucked down a river though.
@viper1966 I took one of these to pull a shanty out on the ice this winter. My shanty broke through the first layer of ice and was in a 3' deep hole. Turned it around winched it out and then kept going. It goes pretty good through snow without tracks as well. We were busting big drifts with it. Pretty versatile vehicle for rugged conditions. I would buy one if I could afford it.
They're really fun and capable... it's amazing to be able to traverse 13 miles of bayou- good luck in anything but the argo

Wrong answer. It will sling shit ALL over you if you hammer it in the really soft stuff. I try to stay toward the middle of the machine.

how is the argo any better than a max atv?
johnnecron 3 years ago
Do they go slower with tracks
VTAirsofter 4 years ago
Depending on terrain conditions and incline, the Argo WITH tracks will go 20-40% slower of maximum speed. (40km/p/hr)

So I guess many people do buy them.

Argo is the world's leader in amphibious vehicles.
MichaelW23 4 years ago 2
@viper1966 seems more for crossing rivers and navigating through swampey area. theres no way that those treads could paddle you anywhere very fast
Dankbrainz 9 months ago
@Dankbrainz
Well to be fair, you CAN stick an outboard on the back
But it is still a redneck swamp buggy and that is all it'll ever be.
And service VS running time is ridiculous.
