I wish you had let the drawings stay onscreen a little longer. Especially in the beginning, they just flash on and off. Those pictures are so moving. How horrible that any child should see such things.
It's odd how you and I can look at the same images, and you see the hand of a living god and feel grateful, but I see massive destruction, pain beyond measure, indiscriminate of who's been honest or righteous, and if there were a god involved in this mess, he's got a lot to answer for.
@dcs002 Yes, how horrible for all involved, especially the children. His hand reaches out to people that suffered this tragedy. It is a God that feels so much love for us that He would send us His only Son and have Him die in our place. I don't see the hand of a living God doing the destruction, but the life He brings out of our disasters. As for the quick pictures, they go fast like the experience did for those in it. If you pause them along the way that should help.
@jimpio Thank you for your response. I'm actually envious of people who have strong faith that can comfort them and help make sense of things when the world turns upside-down like this. (It makes no sense to me at all.) Good for you and for all the comfort you were able to share with the people in such desperate need. That's what this video and discussion should be about.
It's crazy that such a beautiful tranquil place can be so destructive, if only but a small moment in time, but wreaking such havok after the wave rolls back.. Did you help them to rebuild, bring them stuff?,, I'm sure it was really special to help them,, thanks,, ,good karma!
We cleared debris. Salvaged houses & materials for owners re-use where houses were lost. We built tent camps. Provided funds for a bus to operate for several months to get the school going again. We listened, greived, hugged & cried with locals. Provided first aid & basics like soap. We worked with a church providing funds for locals to earn money by assisting in these activities. We prayed & laughed together. Praise God we were able to reach out & share with the community in such circumstances.
That's amazing!!,, i had the opportuninty to help some orphaned kids in Israel, it was sad. I wanted to take them all home with me. The children are very resiliant & loving.. It was a good feeling, I hope they are okay & I think of them everyday..Really a life changing experience!! I wish I had the opportunity to do more... Peace!!
