Thanks, It a custom tuning I made up a few weeks before I posted this video. I wanted to make the bottom string more like a 12 string sound but with a drop down tuning on the E string. But it ended up being really low before I was happy with the sound of it. lol! Im a experimental type musician really and I love changing things if you can tell from most of my videos and even covers.

Thanks and yes it did. I dont have this stuff anymore. I have dwongraded and up graded to just a Marshall Stack when Live and my Line 6 FlextoneIIIXL combo amp that I use here. I also use my PODxts. Its still almost as loud as the JBLs I was running here that you dont see in the video. There up front and this is done with a mono camcorder? Not anymore though! Listen to my newer videos like Wild Child, youll like the sound much better!

have you looked at the ibanez universal 7 string?

you could drop your tuning up a string, add another A flat to the extra one.

that way you can still have a bit of tension in the tuning.

just an idea.

I had a 7 string before, I really didnt like it that much. It really had limited uses for me. I ended up trading it back in for a set of stage monitors. Im really picky with guitars I buy now. They really have to play pefectly before Ill buy it! Looks dont really matter that much to me, but it does have to have a purpose to my uses. Im on the road most of the time, so lugging around 10 guitars is not what I really want to do? haha! Shit gets heavy! I am looking for a acoustic but the right one!

The cuttaway Ovation was ok for the money? But I really want one thats made much better this time that wont crack behind the bridge for no reason? It still played when a guy bought it from me that way? I told him it was cracked, he said he could put a plate there to stop it from cracking more? Its just the electric acoustic is what im missing in some of my music right now, and its the next on my list of guitars. Ibanez or Ovation?

Ever tried any high-end Seagull ? That just might be worth for you to try a nice one . Will most probably make you forget any ovation (even if ovation is quite a good guitar man). We , in La Patrie ( where two Godin guitars shops are located ) are not really fans of the use of any composite materials in building a guitar , no way . Or fuck it all and Buy a Martin (hell yes).

lol! Its just like playing live sometimes? Ive had been playing a bunch of songs and just decided to turn on a camera? The song is about 8 minutes and some seconds long? haha It deserves a small break sometimes for a smoke, drink, or something? It works out good doing it live that way also. The tuning im glad I was messing around and came up with it to make this song though, Ive done a few other songs with it that you just cant do with standard tunings. Chords are way diffent!

Thats what is is in the GP4 above wich is the Eb on both 1st and 2nd strings. Anyways I already had .010 gauge on my acoustic when I had it? I dont have it anymore. I going to get a better acoustic later. Anything over .010 is a waste to me with line 6 creating tones. I dont like being like others with the Bassy Deep Drop sound, its what make it different to me. But you can really do what ever with it? I do try to make everything a bit different in every song and video as much as I can?

6th - Bb Dropped - At the 10th fret on 6th string should sound like the Open A String.

5th - Bb - Standard Eb Tuning

4th - Gb - Standard Eb Tuning

3rd - Db - Standard Eb Tuning

1st - Ab - 2nd String open and 1st string open should sound the same.

Yes The 2 bottom strings 1st & 2nd string are Tuned Bb to sound like a twelve string guitar. I never did update this video yet, I still cant find any tunings on the charts of this though?

If you have a acoustic it should be no problem if your using .010 acoustic strings and up. .009's are to weak or slinky I should say? They buzz on the neck a bit if you hit the strings to hard. You have to have a very light touch as it is in this tuning.

Thanks man! Its a tough one, its 90% with finger picking. I dont use a pick until the second half and only a little... Until I hit the camera lol! Its fun to play live though! I still have this rig, but in a smaller place! I can only set it up when I play live somewhere? The'll kick me out of this Marina I'm living at right now with 2 EP2500 Power Amps and 2 1000 watt JBL Mains. Its only on like, Vol 1 & 1/2 here for this video.

Thank you very much! Its a tough tuning to find chords with, But it gives you a 12 string sound on the B & E strings with a Drop down on the Bass E String. Really cool to play around with. Chords are upside down, lol! You have to find ways to make new ones?

Its what drop Bb? A# if you look at it sharp? and then have the same notes so its almost like a bass... idk lol but the Bb tuning dropped is used by bands like in flames and even static x. but i like the way you use this tuning. its still different than Drop Bb but its the closest thing i know to this.

Aaron this little Applause was only $149.00 from Guitar Center in Vegas. I was playing 4 & $500.00 guitars, And this one killed them with the sound it had. And it has the shallow back that was comfortable to play. And easy to put up on a Mic Stand when playing 2 guitar parts. But you can get a pickup for yours cant you? Im still trying to figure that one out? lol! Awesome shit you can play in this new tuning. I thought it was Standard 0 Tuning on these strings, But its still dropped a whole step down from there even?
