  • @oldclassicgame

OH! I didn't know any games didn't have sound until it actually started! Thank you for letting me know! It looks a BIT like Space Invaders, but instead of being ONY above you, they're ALL AROUND you! And sometimes the robbers move in closer! This looks like a fun game. What were the controls? 2 joysticks? (One for aiming/firing & one for walking)

  • @oldclassicgame The opening part alone is what we would call the "Attract Mode" of the game itself, what you see before you start popping quarters in.

  • Would you say 1979 was the year color games started appearing and that 1979 was the last year they made black and white games?

  • @LedWilde

Actually it was in 1973. Go to Arcade-history website and search for Wimbledon and Gotcha.

  • This is one of the most amazing things ive seen in my entire life...

  • This was the first game Genyo Takeda (known for the Punch-Out!! arcades and home games, as well as the StarTropics series) and Shigeru Miyamoto (known for the Mario and Zelda franchises) worked together on developing.

This game was released outside of Japan by Exidy as Bandido.

  • Sherif for Super Smash Bros 4

  • @frankenvonvogler What do you that his moveset is going to be? I rather want Balloon Fighter for SSB4.

  • @frankenvonvogler here, here. I also vote for the alien from Radar Scope.

  • I thought at the beginning you weren't going to have the funky music :)

  • @KiraBlackwater I was going to say the exact same thing.

  • This was my fave of the early games and I could max the machine out! Can you get an emulator for a PC anywhere?

  • @lewisner

yes, you can get this on a free arcade emulator "mameui".

  • Ha ha, my uncle bought this for my sister, brother and me, xmas 1981 . He'd got it from a pub that were refurbishing. We'd sit and play it for hours. I think our high scores were somewhere around 27,000.

We've still got it in the garage somewhere but I think the fuse has gone.

Good to hear that classic music and sounds again. Thanks for sharing.
