The only problem for making the Darren Shan books into movies would be that it would turn into another harry potter series. All the movies would be spaced out but there would be plenty of details missed. I just don't think they would make good movies. To many little details that are easily missed. If someone did make them into movies I would definitly watch them tho.

Madame Octa is treated like some sort of gay kitten and not as a dangerous creature, When darren is in his coffin he is playing video games and does not apear at all sad that his parents and sister are weaping over his corpse, Mr Tiny takes sides with the vampeneze when he's not meant to and steve becomes vampeneze and is in the film alot when he's not meant to come back till book 7 and even then its a very small part thats just some of the flaws

Ending series' with complex storylines is a herculean task, as in the Demonata, 'they all lived happily ever after' is illogical and 'they all died' makes to whole series pointless. Having an ending where both sides win in a way that way revealed earlier in the series for a completely different reason is sensational. It is the perfect happy ending without it feeling like a disney movie.

I love this series and the author it's awesome. Also big spoilers, Darren becomes werewolf, rips out kernels eyes, then bec betrays them for lord loss. But it's an act and the Kah-Gash is released during the final stand and the universe is returne to normal, :)

@dannyrocks777 it also depends on the effects. If the is like so fake that you can really see it and all the demons doesnt look real, then the movie will probably suck.

good fan made trailer, and no its not real they have not yet said they are making a demonata film. ( the books are aimed for teenagers 12-16 and the story has so much gore in it that it would have to be a [18].
