oh gawd this game was wonderful I remember playing it when I was about 8 or 9. I remember feeling so chilled, I remember I was a charmander and my partner was a chikorita that I named after a girl I liked. Oh gawd, every moment of this game was chilling. I don't think I'll ever be able to experience a game like this again as long as I live.

TT_TT In Blue Rescue Team, I had named my partner after my best friend in real life, and, at that time, we were far apart from each other...I was crying so much....Explorers of Darkness left me leaving tears on my pillow before I went to sleep. (I was playing it before I went to sleep, up past my bedtime.) The music and the storylines in these games both go hand in hand. You can't really have one without the other.

I love pokemon mystery dungeon games more than the actual pokemon games because they actually have a PLOT! The regular pokemon games are fun because you can catch pokemon and battle and stuff, but, aside from beating the designated "Team ____" that's all you do in every single one of those games....in Mystery Dungeon, there's actually a purpose! Plus the plot is really good too!! Explorers of Darkness was really good too!!

PMD has some of the most emotional and well scripted storylines i have ever come across in games... oh yeah and the music never fails to bring a tear from nostalgia and emotions ;') thanks nintendo... wait, ill be back later, gotta play this game!!!!!
You can show someone the end of Mystery Dungeon, but to really experience the sadness of the game, you have to play it. Its amazing the emotional bond you build with your partner. Gamefreak made the partner feel so real. And you actually feel sad when you have to leave your friend at the end of the game.

this always makes me think of a person (im thinking a very good friend) slowly walking away from some awful event where they lost a close friend... the beat sounds like rhythmic footsteps to me... and while walking away, as they progress, they slowly break down and cry, eventually falling to their knees... why oh why didnt they remix this for pmd2!? T.T it fits so perfectly!!!

I typically have no emotion about video games. But when I was 9 and Squirtle 'died' I've never been sadder, and when he got to come back I've never been happier. Even though there has been new stuff and greater systems I will always remember this.

This isn't the song that plays at the end of the game. This song plays right before you must flee the town... Though the two songs are /incredibly/ similar; the one that plays at the end is slightly different though.

If there was one thing I could do as a kid one more time, it'd be to play this game for a whole day. Just to experience the strength, power, and brave spirit you and your partner experience again. this always makes me think of a person (im thinking a very good friend) slowly walking away from some awful event where they lost a close friend... the beat sounds like rhythmic footsteps to me... and while walking away, as they progress, they slowly break down and cry, eventually falling to their knees... why oh why didnt they remix this for pmd2!? T.T it fits so perfectly!!!
