if they are short term, thats kinda pointless...because yea you feel great if you have anxiety but you have to take em for life, if not you go right back to your old self..depressing
I HATE this drug. It destroyed my life. It says right on the info sheet that it's meant for short term use only, yet it's routinely prescribed for long term use. It causes central nervous system damage and is almost impossible to quit.
I love this medicine. I take it sometimes for anxiety. What makes this drug excellent is that it works within 15-30 minutes after it's taken, so you don't need to take it for a month or so for it to start making effect, like some other drugs. I only have high axiety/panic sometimes (2-3 times/month), therefore this drug is perfect for me, as i don't want to be taking a drug everyday for symptoms that don't occur often. When I start to feel very anxious, i just take 1 mg of it.
My doc. just prescribed clonazapam 1mg to me for restless leg and NO SLEEP. I am kinda wondering what to expect....do's and dont's? Kinda nervous about taking it. Any thoughts?
Almost off benzos...anyone who feels that benzodiazepines are an effective way to treat anxiety..think again. Took as prescribed. Tolerance builds within 2 weeks. Have fun getting off.
Just try to kick this drug and you will be sorry. Not even Heroin, Methadone or Crack subsides the withdrawal of this satanic medication. Get on now and be ruined for life. If the grid goes down you better have a lifetime supply.
I take 2mg 4x a day, For Panic Disorder and a small amount of Xanax, 0.5-4mg, when needed for an ATTACK, I had to take 14 2mg tablets at one time because I had the worst attack ever, this was over 2 yrs ago... I can take 5+ 2mg "bars", and still be uneasy but not panicky, I think Clonazepam is the best, Benzodiazepines truly helps SEVERE PANIC DISORDER. I Try to take as little as I can, but the Panic I Have Is To Strong... =(. Clonazepam is the best, It helps me focus off the constant Panic...
@KarbineKyle I know exactly how you feel, its only a matter of time people start asking about dosages see 8=12mg everyday is a monster size dose, but you need it you need it, also fuck people judging you about your dosage, there are many points of view to the truth, also people who drink shouldn't tell you anything either cuz they are just as bad if not worse, i only speak out of my personal experiences i have delt with.
I'm on Klonopin® Clonazepam 2mg 4x A day, and 0.5mg 2 -4x of Xanax® (Alprazolam), At once when needed. I have the worst Panic Disorder, I'm Probably top 100 in the World... Just an opinion... I've taken almost every Benzodiazepine that exists in the US. Clonazepam has helped me so long, It's the best in my opinion! Adamwells42 is right! I also haven't really built up much of a tolerance, it comes and goes... It does help ME focus though. Too much panic, and you CAN'T do a damn thing!
Man i'm working on 1mg right now, I can see how this would be addictive. it has totally enabled me to live life in a way i've never been capable of. I am worried about getting off of it though.
To 'wordsonwater' - Long term effects: Your dose will continually have to be increased because a person's benzodiazepine tolerance will increase WAAAAAAAAY faster than ANY other drug, legal or otherwise. So if your going to be using clonazepam - take as neeeded. .5MG should be enough, but if you take it more than twice a week, your tolerance will skyrocket.
I've been taking Clonazepam on and off for the last 8-9 yrs. More on than off. I use to take only .5mg now I need 1.5mg to sleep well..I really want to get off it but I know i'm hooked and it's a little scary to edit it out of my life now.
i just got back on klozopan i was hospitalized and they prescriped me 200mg of zoloft and 1mg klozopan and risperdal if i cant sleep which that was my problem and it really helped and than i thought i was wise to stop it in june and now i feel kinda back to point a i mean i know what works for me i just need to get back to the therapist and psych i hate this grr if anyone on the same boat write me
I have been on Klonopin for the last 4 years. At my request, as well as, my doc's suggestion, i will be starting to gradually, stop it. My doc suggested i lower my dosage, from 1.5mg to .5mg. Is it safe to abruptly go down from 1.5 to .5mg, or should i insist to be put, on 1mg for a week, and then .5mg for the following week? Further, the last time, i came off either Ativan or Klonopin, i was given a benzo, that wasn't as strong. Can u tell me what that other benzo, could've been? Thks
i am taking clonazepam 2 mg and chlopromazine 100 mg at bedtime for the past 5 years i have stopped cpz but not able to stop clonazepam what are the long term effects of taking clonazepam? thx
i took ambiem and risperdal with klonopin and it really helped me with my depression pills which was zoloft so yeah they can work toghter but im not crazy about ambiem...
Is it just as effective to take Clonazepam on an "as needed" basis as it is it take it regularly? Doesn't dependency become a strong possibility with regular use?
You can take it as needed if you want. Dependence is an individual thing. Some people can take a bunch and not be addicted and other become addicted right away. There's really no way to tell.
Really, you should not drink at all with benzos. I know people do but there is a risk of death associated with it. The body gets too depressed, as in slows down too much, and you "forget" to breathe. It can happen with any amount of alcohol, but the occurance is rare.
Thanks for the info. I guess if it's not safe to drink on this pill alone, I would assume it would make matters worse if one were on Clonazepam, Effexor and Remeron.....Looks like my party days are over, lol.
Hello WestConner,i like your all videos, they are great,i heard that clonazepam is strongest of all benzodiazepines, can you confirm that it's true?if clonazepam isn't the strongest, then what is the most strongest benzodiazepine?thank you.

Are klonopin and ambien safe to take together? Also is it common to have it stop working, no longer feel the effects of this med?
