I do like him in this video. I'm more of a fan of Mestre Jogo de Dentro in terms of Angola masters but Moraes tears it up as well. Anyone know how old he is?
dear ligeriro.i saw that a strange monster ate my words... they are 1)i would only make u know 2)i prefer other mestres.so you are thinking to pass to capoeira angola.....i start train angola ignoring the difference between the two styles..as the time goes by i know that god guided my way.i love angola, if angola doesn't exist, i think that i don't train capoeira...anyway i respect capoeira regional, i have a lot of friend that train it.so if you want to go on to angola,i bless your choice..axè
I think capoiera angola is more traditional than the capoeira regional. Regoinal seems more of a martial art that over time you can not do all of the acrobatics required to be venerable, whereas angola is more of a game that you can play no matter your age. it looks like cunning and skill are the main points. I respect both Angola and Regional.
o dear...don't worry , you didn't seem to me so hostile as you thought...i would only make u know that mestre moraes is a god of capoeira angola ...i respect him too much...but i prefer other. anyway are u angoleiro???
I cant read your comment fully coz it kinda eats away your words at the end.
No I'm not... I'm training in Grupo AbolicaoOxford... which is apparently the 'sister' grupo of the above Japanese group. (connected through Mestre Orelha)

Mestre Moraes was Cobrinha's student but you need to learn their history to understand my comment..

Want to expand on that? I don't know Mestre Moraes personally, but I do know Mestre Cobrinha pretty well. I'd love to hear what you mean.
rioooooable 2 years ago
You should ask Cobrinha how he came to be an angoleiro.. or Moraes for that matter

Do you hate his jogo or jogo de angola in general? Coz this game unfolds quite nicely...

i don't hate abgola in general...infact i try to be an angoleiro... but i don't like too much mestre moraes....but i respect him infinitely

I'm sorry, sweetness... i didn't mean to sound hostile. Actually i'm not in any position to comment on Mestre Moraes... never met the guy before.

I enjoy Regional but sometimes i just feel
like I belong in Angola. It appeals more to me
and next year when I move out I'm considering
joining a more Angola based Grupo.
