Military grade m-18 smoke grenade (homemade)

WARNING!!! IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE THIS, READ THIS COMMENT!!!!!

Me and a friend of mine made this smoke bomb and it went off in his room. The sparks and embers you see coming out of that smoke bomb are extremely hot! The embers melted straight threw a shirt keyboard and bag of chips (all stacked on one and other) It may not seem like much, but be careful. even if it's a joke on a friend DON'T LIGHT THESE OFF IN THE HOUSE!!!

A great majority of military grade smoke grenades use terephthalic acid (TPA or TA) since TPA is alot safer to breathe than HC (hexachloroethane). Unfortunately there isn't much you can do to obtain TPA, unless you are a home scientist and chemist. @elibaba7 : Haha, I wish it were that easy. I did however begin with something very similar to a simple potassium nitrate and sugar smoke grenade. They evolved.
