These guys like Rikki, Jimmy and Stanley were and are true gentlemen who never ever forgot who put them there and who bought there tickets to see them. I met Rikki on a couple of occasions and you could not have met a nicer guy. These guys will be sadly missed and heres to the Kings Glasgow for letting us look upon a mere glimmer of what talent these guys had.
I was at Aladdin yesterday and it was amazing! I took my 4 year old daughter and she was very good, sat nice and laughed, alot. I was hysterical at points, Gerard Kelly and Karen Dumbar are stars!
I would go into a long rant about how VERY wrong you are about pantomime... but I don't have time. You're just going to have to take my (incredibly authorative) word for it.
Right. I don't know if you've ever acted in or written or directed a pantomime (as I have), but I think you should know that if done correctly it can be a fine art form with the power to invoke levels of mirth hitherto unforseen in perhaps any other form of entertainment in existence. Pantomime is flexible enough to include so many different types of comedy that it could be regarded as THE purest form of comedy ever devised.
Also... there is oh SO much scope for improvisation in pantomime.

In the future, pantomime will no longer exist, it will be a form of entertainment remembered for its existence during a period of primitive society. It will be replaced however, with forms of entertainment that interact directly with the brain, neural impulse actuation, interactivity and simulation, and technological integration into biologic systems, viewable not only from the eyes, but from senses that manifest with use of this technology. Theater Arts, a primitive entertainment genre. ;]
@TheBlitz1 Audience numbers are proving different m8. People enjoy a pantomime, they have done for over 100 years. I wont waste my time any more on you.

i agree i had to do a pantomime project for introduction to acting, its a pain in the ass, its no fun, and they don't let you improvise.
