i'm currently a 195 fifteen year old, and i DO NOT love myself. losing weight will hopefully make me love myself, but i most definately still wanna have those "love handles" cuz the boys love a little something to hold onto:)

Everytime I feel down about my body I watch this video. It's difficult being in highschool and not ever feeling attractive or worth while. It's hard to go shopping and being forced to buy everything in large or extra large. There aren't enough big women to look up to. Thanks for letting everyone know how we feel.

I'm not huge. I'm about 160, but lately I've felt so pressured to loose weight that I've been getting depressed. I hate the society view of what people should look like.. is being 90 pounds really what beautiful is? I thought that I was nice and I have good intention .. isn't that all it should be about.
I guess i'm just glad to hear someone not putting us girls down. it makes me a little more hopeful that not everyone is going to look down on us for being bigger

Actually I dissagree with you 100%. I was 300lbs at age 14 and I felt like shit!!!! Now that I am 25 and weigh 196 I feel happy! Imaging If I had not lost weight, I would probably be 500lbs.
I know a lot of really fat people that all they want is to lose weight. Being fat is unhealthy and it does not make a person happy! I say this because I lived it! I would never want to be that fat again! Even if you accept yourself as fat, you are still unhappy?

I am not telling people how to find happiness...I am only expressing that our weight shouldn't define our joy. If losing weight gave you happiness, then you should feel great about that. As a recovering for Anorexia/Bulimia and I have to say that I think what you said in this video is so wonderfully smart and so true. I know that might sound a little backwards but believe me for a lot of eating disordered girls its lack of human acceptance that causes them to punish themselves for not being good enough. Thats how it is for me, and I think that what you said Boadwayamy really is so important. Being fat or too thin or 'ugly' (By messed up human standards) doesn't anything.

Weight, like age, is just a number, honey. Anyone who wants to judge you based on your weight is missing out on knowing you, and you are a great person, don't ever forget that!

When i was younger people used to call me fat, but i wasn't and now i am pro ana. And being that sucks. You really make me think of this. Whole my life i just can't imagine why some people like to call other people fat and ugly when they aren't. And even if they do so why would you like to remember people of it? I like your attitude that you don't seem to care that your "fat", but I don't think you should be saying that. I'm not exactly the skinniest girl around, but I NEVER go around saying that about myself. I'm happy with who I am. I'm not going to catagorize myself and say I'm "fat".
