I remember playing this game on ps2 when it was new. I never got the rerelease. I remember everyone I played the game no matter how exited I was to start playing I would always watch this intro. I got the hd collection and started up mgs2 with a 42 inch HDTV and surround sound speakers..... I swear I lost consciousness and felt like I had frostbite. But my friend next to me said I was just staring at the screen drooling on the controller. Greatest nostalgic moment of my life. Thank you Kojima

I remember when I was 6 playing this game. Getting stuck with Emma at the water area killing her to pass time. And when she died, I cried manly streams of tears. And Raiden was one of the most amazing characters in that game, sacrificing so much to stop Ocelot. Metal Gear 2 will always have a spot in my heart, as a truly loved game.

Dude, they better fix some problems with the game, like trying to wake enemies up. We shouldnt have to wait until the Plant chapter to get the Coolant. We should be able to wake em up like in MGS4. Make it hell of a lot easier to get Dog Tags. But yeah, can wait for the damn remake!!!!!!

Snake and Raiden got the coolant spray 2 years later, in the PLANT Factor they got given it by Stillman, the bomb desposal expert, fuck waiting for them to wake up, its your fault if you shoot them with the tranquilizer.

Anyway even I dont see the point, Why re-make the game just for that!?!

Even when the re-make gets released, they still wont give you coolant in the Tanker Factor. Why the FUCK Would snake even need it, it dosn't work on SEMTEX!!

This game is by far my most favorite game ever created. There are many, many other great games out there but this on just does it for me. The story is just fantastic It's a Tactical Espionage Action. What is there not to love?

I like this game. While I too was shocked over the main character shitch-around I didn't let it bother me.

The gameplay was good, the characters were memorable and the music and story were undiminished.

However my biggest issue with this game is the fact that the main themes are thrown more in your face far more than the original.

In the first game these themes of anti-war and control and genes were stated but you were never beaten over the head with them.

That's why, honestly, I prefer it.
