Sharks are mindless man eaters. They are mindless everything eaters, if you think sharks won't bite you, you are wrong. I live in the shark bite capital (of the world), and knew three people who have been bitten. Just go into the sandbarred off area off the coast of new smyrna, and move your legs and wait. One of the hundreds of sharks near you will bite. Locals LIE to protect the tourism, they have even removed all of the images of sharks off the beat roads to help tourism.

@underworldluver are you for real, bull and tiger sharks are every where up the east, north and west coast of australia. great white are also very common along the southern coastlines of australia, i've been in a spotter plane working for the fisheries and along 50km of coastline there were 58 great white (stockon beach NSW). and most shark attacks come from bull shark and makos, its just the media that always blame the great white

I think sharks are beautiful creatures!!! The sea is a marine habitat. Humans are not marine mammals. As long as you don't go into the water - you will not be in danger. If you don't like sharks, don't go swimming where sharks are found. Like many things in this world, it's done at one's own risk. Shark attacks are rare and blown out of proportion by the media.

I will admit, I am afraid of sharks, but I also think that the more you undertand these creatures, the less you'll be afraid of them.

I hate it though, when people look at the movie Jaws, and automatically think that every shark is like that.

I tend to be a bit frightened if I enter water full of sharks, and the thought of being attacked is quite scary.

However, it is an incredible low chance and if people take the necessary precautions, they won't have to worry.

I'm actually planning on studying Marine Bioligy and heading over to Hawaii or the bahammas to work with sharks.

I think they are Amazing, When we enter the Sea we are in their world and we have to respect them which we dont! We have over fished the oceans and destroyed their habitats not to mention killings millions of them! Since Jaws I think sharks have had to contend with this Man eater persona which is unfair and due to a total lack of education on this Species! Sharks have bitten many people but they dont have feet or hands so this is how they feel something.
