@vindicari I would say that Christy be the first to admit that he was a waaay better songwriter than singer and he was very good singer. Frances is a better singer (I dunno if she even writes), this song is totally suitable for her voice and she is able to give it the voice it deserves. It's better than Christy's version.

Such great emotion applied to this great song. And of course, a few years back, I just had to stumble upon this tune during my relationship break up...ouch. Frances singing this song pinched my heart back then, as it does now, and if we can identify with the song, how much more does the beautiful voice of the singer send the message home. Even now, this song sung by Frances Black reaches into the deep sensitivites that life puts in our path from time to time. Good work Frances, cheers.
