  • Hide behind the truck and toss smoke grenades near the mk3 and the Gekko will not see it

  • see imagine the remakes of MGS1 2/3 with these graphics xD

  • @TotalBlitzGaming

I can't tell if I'd like that or not. They're practically classics at this point, that remaking them might make them feel worse. But they'd definitely look better that's for sure.

  • i hate the MGS1 bit, if u get spotted you have 2 quit the game because you can't exit to title screen

  • @strongpass

    Lol, yeah that is unfortunate

  • @strongpass Alerts, deaths and continues in the MGS1 dream sequence do not count towards your tally for the Big Boss Emblem. It is actually faster to just get spotted and killed than to do the level.

  • Ughmm I thought this was your first time around not continuing from a game? where the fuck do you get those two chaffs from before act 4!?!?! help!!!!

  • I grabbed them back at the end of Act 2

  • @perkealater7 You don't need them. You can finish act 4 on the boss extreme with no alerts without chaff grenades, it just takes 5 minutes longer. You have to enter the building by going up the stairs and through the vent at the beginning, and then drop down twice to the door at the end when the coast is clear.

  • How were you able to destroy the gekko so quickly? How did you get the good sniper rifle? Isn't the good sniper rifle a "special item"?

  • The .50 Cal can destroy Gekko's in one well placed shot.

I bought the sniper from Drebin right after coming back from Otacon's lab, up the elevator.

It's not a special item, it's just another gun

  • @ShinsoShikai

Dude I didn't know MK works at activating the electric current and anti material rifle against Gekkos nice :D

  • how could you put 11111 in the code and stay with all the stamina??

  • I skipped the cutscene, so it didnt register any stamina loss

  • That's odd that you choose the Young Snake with Bandanna face camo, I see you used Otacon for the resistance part. Do these face camos actually make a difference, because I see Otacon's actually made a huge difference.

  • The face camo doesn't make a difference in this level.

I only used Young snake with bandana for Nostalgic reasons. Makint the return to Shadow Moses as memorable as possible.

  • Very good reason ! =)

  • 4:50 Good Idea.....

  • Chaff grenades!!! OF course, i had completely forgotten about them. Great speedrun.

  • do chaffs work againts gekko?

  • Only for an extremely short time.

  • Freaking funny as hell man. "You'll gave ti distract the gecco-" "What gecco....?" ".....*elevator opens*" lol I died laughing

  • how many chaffs all in all in the game?

  • Really not sure to be honest.

I'd have to check a guide or something to figure that out.

  • holy shit, this is textbook, prime example of the BBE.

  • worked beautifully

  • i only got the two chaffs on the heliport so i don't have any others. Am I screwed?

  • Hmm, well you'll be able to use the chaffs at the beginning of Act 4. Thats all you need.

The one's I use on the final long walkway at the end of Act 5 aren't needed, they just make it easier.

  • is it ok if u get an alert in the mgs1 part?

  • Yes, you can recieve an alert.

Most just get the alert and die, since it's a little faster than attempting to sneak in.

  • Comment removed

  • gecko kills don't count as kills

  • haha major elevator tbag

  • the code is 4 8 2 73

  • how do u record ur screen???

  • I use a Dazzle DVC170

  • Ah I see, do you use the S-Video plugin?

  • No, I don't. I just use the regular video plugin.

  • So then do you use Pinnacle studio to edit your videos? Because I did that for my Zelda:OoT with only 3 hearts and it doesn't give me the HQ option when I upload, do you know why this is? It would be a huge help!

  • Yes, I do use Pinnacle studio to edit.

I'm fairly certain the format at which you save your movie files is the reason.

After editing, I go over to the make a movie tab, and I save the scenes as an AVI file format. It's higher quality, and it allows the HQ option to be used on youtube.

  • I see, I'll let you know if it works. It'll be awhile but I'll let you know. That does sound like the reason though, so thanks in advance!

  • Alright, hopefully thats it. Glad I could help if it does work.

  • another side note lol forgot to say theres a mk.3 socom (the main pistol in MGS1) hidden under the truck infront of the hangar door were all the mini gekkos are just crawl under it and ull get it if u attach a silencer to it and aim it ull get a flashback snake says just like old times and a thousand DP for ur troubles

  • oh lil side note if u shoot a gekko in the leg with a few tranqs i think its 5 or so may be more for big boss extreme the fall down and squirm for a while it makes em lay there for a while kinda neat how tranqs can work on a machine

  • lol how more vids do i have to watch hahahaha no im kiddin the more vids u make the more ill watch hahaha ur time for the game is like wat now 3 hrs im playing on liquid easy to get the headband and it takes me about 4 and a half hours to complete it (with kills)

but i can nvr get past act one without gettin spotted now that i know were a few of these hidden spots are i should have a better chance thx for all the vids so far u r beast!!!

  • Thank you for watching.

Glad to know my videos could help.

  • i never knew you could run past a patrolling gekko and not get caught if they don't look at you

  • im doin the BBE now stuck on rat patrol on act1.tough stuff.u make it look ez lol

  • Its ok. That's a hard part of the game.

  • If i get an alert in the mgs dream, does that count?

  • No it doesn't

  • stupid dwarf gekko.

    annoying as hell.

going to attempt BBE after i get the solar gun and special stuff.

just remember that you are a legend, doing this without carried over stuff.

  • if i kill a gekko at this action..

    does count as a kill?

  • No, Gekko's never count as a kill.

  • I made it through act 3 :D The boss fight was sooo easy after doing that motorcycle chase.

Shinso, you realize you are the best youtuber there is for actually responding to all comments.

  • Nicely done.

Thanks. I try to respond to everyone if possible. Because I know how annoying it is to people who don't get responses.

  • somehow i passed act 3, i dont know how but anyway thank u alot cuz its saving my life

  • No problem.

  • If u get a alert on the flash back to mgs1 does that count??

  • No, it doesn't.

  • luckly cuz i suck on that

  • Lol, yeah. It can be an annoying part.

  • that applys to deaths, and health items too right?

the flash back adds on to your time though

    correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Yeah, deaths and items used don't count in the flashback.

But it does count towards your total game time.

  • nvm i just watched it

  • Ok.

  • where?

  • You can see the exact location in the final seconds of my last Act 2 video.

It's directly before the final Gekko you need to run past, inside a little merchant stand.

  • how did you get the 2 chaff grenades to start?

  • I picked them up at the very end of Act 2.

  • there is an mk23 under the truck that u got the usp and the mk23 is under it and if you put an suppressor snake will say just like old times

  • Yeah, I found that awhile ago. It's pretty sweet.

  • ok we all know that the elevator has a 500 lb. limit that was told to us in MGS1 by Otocon so how can a 1000 lb gekko use it? it makes no sense

  • Well, I don't believe it's the same elevator. But either way, it doesn't make sense.

  • I know I sometimes think Kojima tries to make the game look bad but he just fails ^_^

  • I didn't know you could do that Gekko, thanks lol

  • Lol, yep. Easy take down.

  • 0:35 --> "FaceCamo (MGS1 Snake)" "A cammouflage skullcap that uses the same kind of technology as OctoCamo. Shaped to resemble a polygon model of Snake from MGS1."

  • Yeah. What about that camo?

  • I didn't know you could obtain it inside this ventilation shaft.

  • Oh, you obtain it if you complete the MGS1 portion of the game. Either ventilation shaft works.

  • Ok by watching several MGS4 walkthroughs gameplays and speed runs, I'm now reached act 4 by 2:22:41 no kills, no healing, no special item. And it's hard to believe, but I've been actually trying to get the BBE since the launch of the game.

  • Well, you're really close. What are you having trouble with exactly?

  • The pain in the ass act 3 chase scene. I've just made it through this morning... very early in the morning.

  • Congratualations. The toughest part is over. Time to finish it off.

  • i have a question. does the final credit count in the total time ?

  • The credits do count towards your total time.

  • if i wear a bandanna (IN real life) do i get infinite ammo? lol seriously what's your total bb end time?

  • I don't know. I should try. But I doubt it.

Anway, my final time was 3:12:49

  • your videos are really good, hit me up sometime my psn id is

    solidus_venom

  • Thanks, and I'll do that.

  • does an alert during the little mgs 1 part count against your total score, thanx

  • no it doesnt.

  • makin sure thanx

  • man i just finished act 3 with completely zero health, i lost it towards the end of the bike chase and had to fight raven and rest (doesn't count because it's not an item) Anyway my question is my total play time up to act 4 is 2:42 is that good? or will i have to run like forest to make BB under 5 hours?

  • Do you have Act 4 and 5 to go?

  • is a gekko a kill counter and the mini gekko ?

plz tell me cause i was playing BBE again and i had 3 kills and i killed a couple mini gekko`s

  • No, niether count as a kill.

  • if i dont have the amount of dp's needed for the m82 can ii use the password for 100000 dp's, and it wont affect the BBE?

  • Yeah, you should be able to. The password has no effect on BBE.

  • how do you kill the gekko at 6:19 without it seeing you???

  • You just have to shoot it right away. If you do it fast enough. Then it wont catch you

  • ooo thx

  • Does getting an alert in the mgs1 part count?

  • No, it doesnt count

  • Is there any other way you can get a Chaff G other than that helipad?

  • There are some in Act 2. I don't know where all of them are. But there isn't a huge amount to be found.

  • I was unable to save any more games at a certain point. It had no new game slots. I dunno why... with 80 gbs and no other games on my PS3. Just saying.

  • Hmm, don't know what to say.

  • I had the same problem, I ran out of save slots, had to go back and delete unnecessary saves, I guess there is a limit. (I must've had over a hundred slots tho....)

  • i have beaten raging raven and it saves,i turn off my ps3 and when i go back on the save file isnt there,it might be because i saved the game every chance i got and thats a LOT up to this point, what do u think is happening

    PS:this happened to me twice

  • Did you look through all of your saves??

Sometimes the saves get disorganised, and it might not be at the top. Also, I believe you can save as much as you want. I don't believe there is a limit.

  • i just might buy mgs1 2 and 3 and master those along with this one.

  • They're all great games. Especially 3. I suggest you check them out.

  • lol, u bought the M82A2 and only had 115 DP remaining, what would u do if u had 116 DP less than u did

  • I might have reloaded the game, and typed in the code that gives you 100,000 Drebin points back in Otacon's office.

  • how good is the range on the chaff nade? even the 4 with the laser sights in the hall b4 the 2 gekko were fried......or did u just go past the laser coz its easy??

  • I believe the range is continuous until the effect runs out.

Like from the moment you throw a chaff, the distance covers as far as you can run.

  • ok thx

  • then where are they in act 2 cuz im stuck there!

  • There in the containment facility right before the mansion. I'm not sure which side they are on, because there are 2 facilities.

  • is this the only act u can get chaff grenades? cuz i love chaff grenades after just playin mgs!

  • No, there are some in Act 2, I'm not sure about any other acts though.

  • Does being spotted during the MGS flashback count as an alert?

  • No, most people just get caught, and killed to get through it faster.

  • dude i passed the motorcycle chase finally imon this ppart now it took me i think like 34 tries

  • Nice job, I think that's the average.

  • I feel retarded it took me like 50 because auto aim wasn't working. after I finally did it and I got to rageing raven I pressed square by accident and Auot aim turned on! Was pissed, But hey then I realized it was pure skill it took me 4:22 to beat TBE!

  • Lol, well nice job on completing it.

  • Am i screwed cause I don't got the gun you used on the gekko after it came out of the elavator? Figure it counts as an alert if he spots me so idk how to take him down..

  • use the Mk,II robot and shock him by going to one of the electrical floor panels

  • doesn't matter.. As said before in these comments and as I done before, it still comes down anyway. But I got rid of both anyways so it doesn't matter ^^

  • Lol, nevermind. I hadn't read this comment before replying. So forget what I said.

  • Yes it does count as an Alert. Also you buy that gun. I bought it about 10sec. before facing the Gekko. Now if you don't have enough Drebin points. Then you have a couple of options.

1--Change your PS3 clock to the date when you can recieve a discount at Drebins and maybe you will be able to afford it.

2--If you used multiple saves, then go back to before you typed in the code into the computer in Otacons Lab. And this time type in the secret code that gives you 100,000 Drebin points.

  • You're so damn good man

  • Thank you.

  • you replied in 17 seconds 0_O

  • Lol, it's because my Youtube account is linked to my AOL account. So basically whenever I recieve comments or messages on Youtube I get a notice in my mail. So I can reply to people very quick if I'm at my computer.

  • strange, my youtube is linked to my msn xD

How did you get so good at this? I mean I had no idea about using the MG MK II with the gekko in the hallway and how you just like shot the gekko once it came out the elevator

  • Idk. I mean I just played and tried strategies and got better as I played. I mean it's not like hours of practicing or anything. I'm pretty good at video games altogether. But I'm not trying to sound like I'm full of myself. I guess I'm naturally good at video games.

  • if u sit around long enough like i did then Otacon tells u 2 electrify it

  • i tought it was kinda funny when the gekko went down the elevator :D but when i was playing i also tought .... ahhh shit

  • Yeah, the funny thing is even if you destroy the Gekko upstairs, then it still comes down the elevator.

  • PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO U AHVE 2 DO the mgs1 stage perfectly 2 get bbe or doesnt it matter?

  • No, you shouldn't. You can just run out there and get killed to make it faster.

  • do little gekkos count as kills ????

  • No, they don't

  • You know for the MGS1 part it's easier and quicker to just run into the spotlights and let them kill you.. it doesn't count towards deaths.

  • Yeah, I didn't care. I wasn't shooting for the fastest time so I decided to just finish it.

  • exactly, hell, i didnt even know they were there, so thanks for the tip ^^

  • No problem.

  • i love this part, brings back alot of old memories. And u got lucky lol, i only had the 2 chaffs u pick up here, so i had to sneak past the first part of dwarfs. and i forgot to buy the .50 cal for the gekko, so i had to distract it =( lol

  • You must have forgotten to pick up the chaffs at the end of Act 2.

  • were are the chaffs, i didn't know about that either

  • Check the last 15 secs. on my Act 2 part 5. They are right at the end of the marketplace when running from the Gekko.

  • There are more Chaff to get, Act 2 have a total of 4 Chaff to get.

Just before you going to the last load scane, where the mation you need to get in. The base before that haves some chaff, in a small room. It's where the soldiers just keep on coming out over and over, no matter how many you shoot, there is some chaff's in there as well. You can always send MK II to get them ^^

  • Ehh, its no big deal if I missed some. You don't need very many unless your really going for a speed run.

  • Nope but still ^^ You can never have to many Chaff to play around with ^^

  • Well yeah. If I was going for a speed run, then I'd want as many chaffs as I could get.
