@mreisma Not as many, no. Veggie Oil's viscosity is higher than Diesel's at temps below 80C. So you'll be risking injection pump damage, injector cloging and piston/combustion chamber particulate build up if you don't (high viscosity will cause the fuel to not mist properly)

You are wasting money and energy at dewatering the oil.

Use time and gravity (both are FREE) to sattle the oil. That will get the water and the solids out in one go.

Than use a 5 micron heated filter before the engine.

That's it.

I have ran a 40' bus on WVO for les than 1 cent a mile using this system.

Me know who you are I already know the answer to this question but I would ask it on behalf of those who don't know you. Have you considered doing some other alterations to the engine to help increase the heat of the engine for your veggie lines? Alterations such as a turbo charger and exhaust system. I do know those increase heat. (by increasing the RPM of the cylinders for those who don't know.) Why or why not have you considered this?

Heat can only come from one source - the fuel that powers the engine. So, the only way you can really get more heat is to: a. burn more fuel b. collect every last drop of heat from the exhaust

(a) is not an option for me. :)

(b) is expensive - replacing my existing turbo with an after-market one will cost more than the conversion kit!
