  • Sexist Lady on the planet. Stevie is pure class.

  • spot on Stevie.....

  • I'm 20 and I couldn't agree more with Stevie Nicks.

At family gatherings my cousins would sit around, texting. It actually kinds of hurts me because I'd like to talk to them and stuff, but who knew every text was so vital to their life. And what goes on is like "hi whats up".. "nm u?". REALLY?!

No one talks to eachother and if you want to get to know somebody, you add them on facebook.... so lame.

I love computers though... but they have changed us forever.

  • I hate texting and according to my friends...im old fashioned. Im fifteen I see that as a compliment. Stevie raises a valid point and opinion, KEEP ROCKING Queen!

  • people sit around and text......it is obnoxious....

    100% agreed.

  • As kids we were told to get our asses outside, don't let any flies in the house and use our imagination so one day me and my good buddy Randy decided to play cowboys and indians. We called a truce while fighting and decided to smoke a peacepipe,we had no tobacco so we used Nestles' Quik chocolate powder and tried lighting it...needless to say we burnt the barn down . I got grounded and wasn't allowed to play with Randy anymore...it's amazing what a 5 year old can do isn't it?

  • @dukedino226

I had the same upbringing. I totally forgot about the "don't let any flies in on your way out!" I almost caught our barn on fire once also. I used to like burning small bits of hay in the haymow. One day it got a little out of hand and the mow started to get full of smoke and dad came rushing up- not a good day for me! Hay goes like gas: very fast and very hot. I was lucky I didn't burn the barn down.Come to think of it, that is probably why kids aren't playing outside anymore! :/

  • @aaron31967 Hey Aaron... Thanks for responding,I tried staying out of trouble the best that I could during my juvenile delinquent years but it finally caught up with me. I was very intoxicated one particular evening so I decided to steal a car and just drive home,I got into an accident of all things and drove this Ford Pinto into a laundrymat. They didn't have texting back then or else I'd probably be dead altogether, the state of Indiana let me go when I turned 18 however...now I'm in Ohio.

  • WHAT A SELFISH CUNT.....CELL PHONES OR DEATH !!!!!!!!!

  • so true about computers, kids are addicted look outside your window after school there is no kids outside. it was different 10 years ago when i was 6 we would be out from 8 am to go school get back at 3 am, take about 50p buy an ice lolly and get back home at sunset before it gets dark and our imagination was so strong we wud probably come up with our own games at home. its a shame kids are so sad today there version of playing out is playing halo. kids have lost their sense of fun and adventure

  • She's BANG ON on this one !

  • Stevie nicks is one bad ass biaaatcha!!

  • yea she says it like it is

  • Stevie.........before you were just a singer but after you said your bit about the computer.........I just fell in love with you..

  • She is so right. Most people can't stand to be out of touch. I remember when I was a teen. You called your friends at home and left messages no texting. What happened to hand written letters that showed emotion and feelings and love. Social graces are gone because we let it happen we have the choice to listen to what she says and change things. It starts with you and me and spreads. Let's do lunch no phones not interuptions just love and relationships. WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!

  • She's pretty much right about cell phones, computers, and the lack of social graces.

  • It ain't no use to sit and wonder why... TY Stevie. Waaay too true.

  • I never ever thought about cell phones or computers that way!, she's too cool.

  • One of my fave rock n rolls interview. Steveie Nicks speaks out for several generations. Now don't get me wrong cos I aint that type of guy, but I would love to spend an afternoon with her just chatting face to face and agreeing on everything.

Thanks for the songs, Stevie. You are a legend.

  • I feel same as her about cell phones. I always tell a friend of mine to turn his phone off when he's with me cuz he's always frighin glued to his phone and it's rude and annoying.

  • Wow. Stevie "gets" it. Love her.

  • LOL...."I love him, but he's completely crazy" - God I love you Stevie!

  • love you stevie nicks.. your the greatest feamale sing around..

  • I agree with her 100%!

  • "Ok...so if I'm having lunch with you and I have my phone, and I'm LIKE..." what a perfect example of what Stevie just said. Not only do people such as the interviewer lack manners and social graces, but they lack the ability to speak properly. For goodness' sake, what's next?

  • love you, stevie...i agree with you...but, here i am, on my computer, just like you warned about!

  • Speak the truth baby. The truth sets you free, if you're lucky. Well said Stevie and my admiration for the talent and the struggle and the example.

  • while this is an older vid she is SO FREAKING RIGHT AND AWESOME!!!!! DEATH TO CELL PHONES!!!

  • Whose idea was it to let this ghetto ass bitch interview legendary rock goddess Stevie Nicks? It's sad that these interviewers have no idea who they are talking to and how lucky they are to be in the presence of true talent and greatness. I'd kill to sit down with Stevie and just talk. "Okay, so if I'm having lunch with you and I have my blac...my phone and I'm like texting" You should be shot. Rant over.

  • I would love to see 5 hours Of Stevie

  • I agree with Stevie about texting, but for people here to agree without about computers and yet your commenting on a freaking youtube video from...wait for it...A COMPUTER...it's a bit hypocritical.

  • I love Stevie Nicks, apart from being incredibly beautiful she is so full of soul and to hear her talk about the phones and computers is so right. The world is getting crazier every day and computers etc. have ruined so much.

  • We saw her at the Hard Rock Calling concert in Hyde Park London and she was so fantastic!

  • She always comes across as a very kind and classy lady.

  • I LOVE her.

  • "manners are gone - because all people do is sit around and text"... Wow, amen Stevie Nicks. Yes texting is absolutely obnoxious... thank you for being you Stevie!

  • @JimWakable It makes me so mad too - I've been in theatres where people do it during a show and it's so rude!

  • "manners are gone - because all people do is sit around and text"... Wow, amen Stevie Nix. Yes texting is absolutely obnoxious... thank you for being you Stevie!

  • Formula 1 likes the Mac. And I'm old. Always liked Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd Beethoven. I also liked Cheech and Chong they didn't do bad.in the famous pre runner of all chat shows - lets make a dope deal.

  • im a teen & i definitely agree with her. most of my friends would rather be texting or on Facebook than throwing a football or swimming. they would be inside staring at some screen than being outside getting some fresh air. & social gracies? no kid i know would know what they are.i love nowaday's technology but come on give the phone, computer TV ETC a break once in a while & go outside have some fun

  • @kimdefleppardfan say's the person watchin youtube

  • @kimdefleppardfan What a wise person you are! I would imagine your parents deserve some kuddos, as well. I'm 76, but I love my computer and my TV. They can be overused by me, as well. But regarding cell phones, iPhones, Blackberrys, etc.....my 25 year old granddaughter has been texting for several years and I don't like it one bit. And those who are constantly talking loudly into a cell phone in a public place, should be told that others are privy to their most intimate conversations.

  • Stevie's right about any addiction be it drugs, cigarettes, food or what have you. You have to want to do it, really.

  • She is no prima donna...she is Bella Donna !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enchanted as she is, we love her

  • AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE

  • Stevie couldn't get on "American Idol" today - she doesn't scream enough when she sings.

  • Stevie looks better now than she ever looked. She still sings strong and with more emotion. Her view on computers, kids, etiquette are 100% true. You just don't hear people voice it. A previous comment on her about looking and sounding better in her 20s and 30s is crap! She is a class act.

  • i agree. it's annoying when your talking to someone and their phone goes off they staart taking to someone alse when your in the middle of a sentence.

  • i always heard the name stevie nicks. i never knew it was a woman

  • As someone with a degree in Computer Science I totally agree with her. It's not so much computers but all the crazy gadgets we have to have but you know there was a time when you waited until you arrived home to make those all important phone calls. People used to know how to use actual complete sentences none of this LOL nonsense.

  • Always loved you

  • Love u

  • Beautiful. Inside and out.

  • Boy, does she hit the nail on the head about manners and etiquette

    Amazing talent..

  • Stevie is down to earth, more so than most of my friends. You rock Stevie!

  • She is hot! Smart! and talented!

  • wonderful

  • She put down the spoon but not the knife and fork. She looks and sounded better when she was thin.

  • @duncanstpt

Hello...she's over 60 years old. Of course she looked and sounded better when she was in her 20s,30s,40s. We should be so fortunate to look and sound that good in our 60s. Pretty ridiculous thing to say.

  • Those lights 'falling' around her look like fairies or snowflakes and lightening bugs... beautiful and so Stevie!

  • Continued: We would play after school - the whole neighborhood of kids, ride our bikes, baseball, play chase and 'war' - where noone ever got really hurt, knock on doors and run, play on 'tire swings' andyone remember those? Catch lightening bugs and grasshoppers. Start 'clubs' - it was a very active childhood.

  • @nightskymine ~YA JUST SUMMED UP MY CHILD HOOD, BUT ADD A SWIMMING POOL AND SKATING RINK!! ;) I WAS ALSO A CHILD OF THE 70'S & I LOOK AT MY KIDS & THEIR CHILDHOOD COMPARED TO MINE, AND MAN IT'S LIKE NIGHT AND DAY!! I WOULDN'T GIVE UP MY CHILDHOOD FOR ANY OF THIS TECHNOLOGY CUZ IT WAS WAAYY MORE ACTIVE, CREATIVE, & FUN!!! HAHA & YEP! I REMEMBER TIRE SWINGS! =)~

  • Stevie is so wise. Because of her I don't have a myspace. If Stevie says they are dangerous - I'm gonna listen to her! And I was lucky enough to be a child of the 70's (I wish I had been a teenager of the 70's).

  • You said it Stevie!

  • social tech is going nowhere unfortunately

  • i love it how at 1;27 stevie interupts and just makes sense, the interviwer dosent speak after that its priceless. lots of love stevie xx

  • Stevie Nicks is my idol....I love her...she IS the real deal.......especially after seeing this interview....so down to earth. God Stevie...please keep singing for us fans!

  • She is right about social graces....she is a class act and a remarkable legend

  • The Corrs Verison of dreams is the best i think although this is the origonal i love the violine and tin whistle twist to the song

  • What Stevie said was the truth. I was thinking this exact same thing the other day. I love Stevie <3

  • love you Stevie,

  • Apparently the 17 people who dislike this video can't live without twittering, texting or gabbing on their cell phone or can't stand to be away from their computer. I guess they were mad because what Stevie said WAS TRUE, AND AT TIMES THE TRUTH HURTS!

  • she is the real deal thats part of why we love her so much! Rock on Stevie!!

  • I have a cell phone, I have a computer, and I agree with her 100%.

I had the text function of my cell phone blocked because she's right...

It's obnoxious. These days you can give a person a facebook page, a cell phone that does EVERYTHING and they think they're a superstar!

But cell phones and computers can't love.

Cell phones are allowed in my salon, but If you use one while having your hair styled, you will be asked to turn it off. and if you don't like that, you will be asked to leave.

  • Stevie has always been real. She is the reason we have so many female artist today. Thanks for the great music Stevie.

  • she's right about computers-soon there will be no stores except wal mart because everyone will be shopping online. we would rather sit with our computers than to go outside, like what im doing right now.

  • thanks for speaking up, why is no one else saying this? because they text everything

  • Stevie! Stevie! Stevie! thank you for being who you are.

  • and lucky those who grew up before computers had taken over the world. There was a beauty in that. I mean, today it's all we know, but i would have love to have the opportunity to grow up in the 60's and 70's before everything.....

  • If Stevie Nix told me to put away my phone because she wanted "an Hour of Just Me", I would have to "Twitter" that straight away!!!!

  • @horizontaldancerTV An hour can go by relatively fast. I'm sure you could wait.

  • @Clairexxoo What's even worse is standing in line at any type of store, and seeing the check out clerk wait on some two bit idiot talking on their cell phone. I HATE THAT! IT 'S DOWN RIGHT RUDE!

  • In watching this short clip, what she said is right on the money. I can't disagree whatsoever. I think (and hope) she's going to be around for a long time to come.

  • ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON - GET HER IN THE WHITEHOUSE !!!!

  • Great outlook!

  • she is sooooo amazing, stevie nicks rocks,

  • Social graces? Whats that?

  • @56BUICKRiviera Something that most teenagers and SOME people in their 20's and 30's are lacking nowadays.

  • @02chevyguy I think I had some o them sittin behind me at the Clapton concert. Guy wouldnt stop yappin

  • Ya got it right Stevie.

    We're lucky we're old..........

    Love and light......

  • i've always loved her. and now i love her even more cuz i respect her SO much more. very graceful and dignified

  • What show is this? I really wanna get it..

  • to be honest, Stevie is making me want to not be on the computer as much. She is right, technology is really taking over. Stevie is brilliant.

  • Stevie, you are so right on. Technology is killing the social interaction and kid today don't even know how to hold on a conversation properly. I love my udated gaming machine as it allows me to fly virtual aircraft in an extremely realistic environment (Flight Simulator X by microsoft for those unfamiliar). But, I hate texting as I'd rather verbally express myself and those who text and drive are fuckin' morons. Nuff said.

  • Stevie Nicks is such an amazing woman. What an excellent role model for women! <3

  • What a classy woman. She echos my feelings about many things like the loss of social graces.

  • Such a beautiful heart! How refreshing to listen to a celebrity, or rock star if have you (which she TOTALLY still is) behaving like genuine, caring woman. I was a teenager in the mid to late '80's and I remember just being so totally memerized by her in all of her videos I would have sold my soul to the devil just to be her for one day! Her voice is so unique, there will never be another quite like Stevie Nicks! ;)

  • How can I see this show that she is talking about? Did PBS record this show? Where is it? I have to see this whole thing.

  • How can I see this show?

  • She's so right about social graces, about drugs, everything! I love her!

  • You have it correct Stevie. We mostly grew up in Phoenix and as hot as it was, we all went out and played for hours on end. Looking for meteorites in the desert, riding our bikes, going to Superstition Mountain and and having a ball! No T.V., no cell phone, no computer. We had a small transitor radio and we would listen to Wolf Man Jack at night in the beautiful desert under the stars.

  • Thanks Stevie! You put words on what I've seen and been troubled by.

  • So tru, people are rude as fuck these days.

  • @acidspoodie coming from the guy whos cursing like a sailor

  • @metalplayr1 Oh your one of those people who cruise around the tube trolling comments, judging others because your so great and others should comply with your idea of life.

Guess what, I let women on the bus before me, I give up my seat for pregnant women, I hold doors open for old lady's, I say please, thank-you and take care. I don't pull out my phone and start txting someone else when I'm in the middle of a conversation. 1 swear word doesn't qualify as "cursing like a sailor".

    Get lost.

  • @acidspoodie i never judged you at all just made a simple statement, im sure your a great guy i was just fucking with you

  • PREACH STEVIE!!!! LMAO! I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!

  • I'll tell you what I DO when I am TRYING to have a conversation and some BOZO decides that taking a call is MORE important than talking to me, I WALK OUT!

Unless you are a DRUG DEALER, or THE PRESIDENT, you can TAKE A MESSAGE or CALL BACK!

PC's have also ruined live music, ever try to get a group of musicians together lately to create a band, good luck, everyones in DREAMLAND, get off the video games and join the REAL WORLD kiddies!

  • @flamewenthigher i agree with most of what your saying man im a kid who loves to play guitar but its like every other kid is more interested in video games and me playing guitar is weird to them..totally ass backwards

  • Stephane, oh, I mean Stevie call me,oh I mean send me a letter. I get it, give me some face time.

  • Agree with her totally about computers and phone. I wouldnt want to be a kid now. The magics gone.

  • Good Post, Yes Cell phones are obnoxious. You can't have two drinks and legally drive, but you can not watch where you're going because your texting. and yes, Stevies still hot

  • it's so true thought. i love her :)

  • she is so smart I appreciate her talent she is right about love and relationships

  • i love u i am A EX MODEL

  • i love u

  • @Orca40 Oh please you are full of it...shall we count McVie's vs. Nicks songs...you are on the losing end. Like I said its a matter of taste, if you prefer McVie that is your opinion no need to make up bogus claims to backup your "opinion".

  • Right freaking on Stevie about the cell phone thing!

  • @Orca40 THAT i s a matter of taste-it was Stevie's voice that brought the Mac most fame.

  • She thinks computers are horrible...but I didn't see her turn down the money for the royalties they gained for having their music in the Rock Band video game.

  • @AlienZygote010 sometimes u have to do things u dont like or hate just make a living..so u do whats necessary..she may hate computers but if using it helps pay the rent so be it..

  • When I was in the gulf, a friend of mine wrote a letter to Stevie Nicks. To his surprise, she wrote him back. Stevie Nicks is the real deal, and from what she wrote (he showed it to everyone) it seemed as though she derived a lot of fulfillment from writing to a fan. Even though I've never been a huge fan (though I do like her work) the act of writing to a Marine during a difficult time really opened my eyes to why she is so beloved by so many generations of fans. She's no prima donna.

  • this woman is so fine

  • She's a smart cookie and makes some good points.

  • I love her sooo much<3

  • I missed what she said about texting. My cell phone rang then.

Who did more coke than Stevie in the 1980's?

    --Belinda Carlisle.

    Lots of coke-heads in music!

  • Can I have an hour of stevie in 1977? with the coke

  • i'm happy i don't seem to mind if i misplaced my cell phone somewhere LOL.

  • Good for you Stevie! Thanks for your gift.

  • Without question one of the most heartfelt, direct and bluntly honest from-the-heart observations of the world and, most importantly, the youth of the world in recent times.

Though I'm someone who uses technology in numerous ways on a daily basis, I totally agree that it is rapidly eliminating the social graces and ability to communicate with one another on a person-to-person basis.

And, frankly, I find it at least as disturbing as Ms. Nicks...thank you for posting...

  • Stevie speak truth <3 Love you Stevie your a beautiful person..

  • Texting IS Obnoxious, yes! AND a fowl mouth is a sign of a weak mind trying to express itself forcibly.

  • Wow, she is so totally right on about people and their phones today. I've got to show this to my best friend. I've tried to tell him before how rude and obnoxious it is but maybe he will take it to heart coming from one of his idols. Thank you Stevie.

  • I don't know about you, but nobody taught me to turn off/mute my phone when I'm dining, at the bank, dating, at a meeting, in class, at the loo etc. It came to me naturally when I got my first phone more than 12 years ago. Why are people so obsessed with cells anyways. Sure they are useful, but they can be just as annoying as well. Take it with you everywhere, and learn to use the mute function.

  • She is totally right. You can't go out with some people without them spending half the time texting. Theyb won't put the phone down for an hour.

  • If Stevie and I were together somewhere, anywhere, she would be the ONLY person in the world at that time.

  • what dumb twat...how dare she compare Britney Spears to a genius like Bob Dylan?

  • @UmbrellaFitzgerald Because she's comparing two people that got famous when they were very young! Come on, you don't have to be exceptionally smart to notice that! She's not comparing their artistic achievements!

  • Shes absolutely right! What a woman

  • thank you for posting this, it just goes to show that were losing ourselves day after day and even sitting behind a screen we forget to stop and think before we speak or in the computer age type. thanks again!

  • Respect to Stevie!

  • She is just absolutely gorgeous and beautiful and sweet.

  • Her voice is so unusual. That's what I love about it.

  • God, i'm really starting to love this woman. i never particularly paid a whole lot of attention........sure, loved Fleetwood back in the day, loved some things she's done

( although i cut my teeth more on the hard Rock Genre, and some other stuff, more than the "Frilly, chick thing". whatever. but have been watching some vids on her lately and......wow. she is really just so well spoken. here, when she says, Computers have fucked up our world, society, people "Texting", i stood up!!

  • She's right. Social graces are gone. No one has manners anymore. And as far as I know, she's not even a mother. Intelligent and graceful woman!!!

  • Social graces? Obnoxious? That's hilarious coming from Stevie Nicks.

  • seems resonable

  • I want to give my Rock Goddess a tender spankin'. She needs it, and my hand wants it.

  • Life is a trip aint it Stevie? You told it just like it is. People are not anything like they use to be. The world is cold and gray now, thanks to technology.. Wasn't it wonderful to grow up in the seventies?

  • @chest002 Growing up in the 70's was amazing ! Little wonder the lot of us wanna go back to that time !

  • stevie nicks for president

  • SUCH A 'COOL HEAD', MUSIC DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN HER.....

  • AMEN !!!

  • She is freaking amazing. Like the guy before me said, This woman is pure class.

  • I have always admired Stevie - she tells it like it is.

  • Well said Stevie Nicks. Society has gone soooo high tech, that the old fasioned values of one on one communication with each other has gone out the window. Eye contact and the "personal-ness" of just a simple conversation needs to be embraced. The old childhood events of my day, is just fading ever so swiftly with these new generation kids and there e-toys. Lets bring back the simplicity of good wholesome people, with a good wholesome room to grow.

  • Some people quite correctly can have a conversation on the phone constantly while having another conversation with ONE person ONLY in front of them, whether that person is Stevie Nicks or anybody else, it is really rude, out of place and lack of manners. How pityfull such world where personal conversations are gone, I am laughing for that lack of decent manner. Why ask any further why people turn to those singers suchas Fleetwood mac?

  • Not only do I love the bit of a look at why Stevie recorded this particular performance, but I absolutely LOVE her stance about cell phones, and other technologies!

  • This woman is pure class.

  • cell phones are a tool for isollation. hang-up and say hello to someone on the street

  • @USAGlobalVideoCorp It's so true, people are forgetting about the importance of face to face interaction. I always joke with my son about the "I" in IPad or Iphone standing for isolation (lol). For this generation, this is all they know and our methods of communication (cell, text, email etc.) distance people while creating the illusion of being "connected". Some social scientists believe this illusion allows the middle class to work more as the rich get richer and enjoy their time off.

  • I've been in love with Stevie since I first heard her. My idea of a perfect woman.

  • Disabled Are You FREAKIN kidding ME? 2012 Baby!!! Have You made your peace with your GOD?

  • @EStreetRoller May I comment on your comment? God is the economy, how can you make peace with the economy who does not care about you personally?

  • Thank GOD, Good Riddens! Bone-heads. US citizens are messed up. Look at the rest of the world, We rehabilitate from drugs, NOT send to prison OR pay 'em for a disability. WTF people!!!!!!!

  • idiots on their cellphones ... should watch this clip ... haha

  • 1:05 She is SO RIGHT. Impossible not to agree with her. Talented, brilliant, and beautiful. I wish there were more women out there like her

  • i absoloutely LOVE her!!!!! My All Time Hero, Next To Steven Tyler :D x x x

  • I don't go to church, but I imagine the gospel must feel something like this.

  • Wow thers alot of truth in what she's saying.

  • Comment removed

  • Right on Stevie! Remove the tech and smell the flowers....
