Looks like they changed everything that needed to be changed, which is great.

Loving the sense of weight in corners, more swaying effect.

And thank god the AI is more up to scratch and is more consistent in race lap times compared to their ridiculous qualifying times.

The review was informative and has encouraged me to play this game however the reviewer's presentation was under whelming. I have listened to the Gamespot UK podcast in the pass and enjoyed his laid back style when he is in discussion with other commentators but a more enthused approach is needed for this type of review.

Competent and highly professional review but if I was not familiar with the reviewer's style, I would not watch another of his reviews.

What i mean is give a little credti to codemaster.. They make dirt 3 and 50% (including me) say its too generic and has an arcadey setting with buggies and stuff.. They make f1 2010 which was more arcade than sim we say their f1 game sucks.. They make f1 2011 which is abit more sim-like than 2010 we say its frustrating..

I've never bitched about rating but it's stupid to rate a game 8/10 even though you describe it as a 9/10 (well at least that's what i got from the review) just because it's demanding and is not for everyone.. I always try and be open-minded when watching review journalism. But how can one talk so much in praise at improvements and new features, yet give something only 8 for the fact the game has an actual learning curve. Ask me, my friends, even those who just enjoy a lads evening of FIFA, they will ALL say that a learning curve encouraging skill provides huge satisfaction in competing with others, game longevity, conversation making, good laughs. 2. Create your own racing team.(car looks, colors, fake sponsers)

So "WHYS" car handling better when last Formula 1 was supposed to be real car like handling? Don't just say "the drive handling is better, tell "WHY" its better! I see how every racing game is copying what FORZA' S Turn 10 Started and thats the center warning red, amber slow, green speed up Racing Line!! gt was first to copy and sony gt fanboys even stupid enough to think gt started it (what gimps gt fans can be). The frame rate's probably around 40 fps, there's no way they're ever gonna get perfect 60fps on this gen of console with over 20 cars and weather to deal with. Like I said in my last comment: I'm really looking forward to the next gen of racers more than this!

I'll be disappointed if Codemasters are criticised for the 'steep learning curve', it is not their responsibility to make F1 understandable to any idiot who picks up the game. EA don't get criticised for failing to explain the concept of the throw in very time FIFA comes out! So if you buy this game and get frustrated because you don't understand DRS, KERS, fuel mixtures etc it's your own fault.

The only thing keeping me away from this is that I'm not an F1 fan and would eventually feel bored driving the same vehicle (In real life, well that is another matter!). However I was incredibly impressed with the amount of detail and immersion this game presents and I wish a game like Forza and Gran Turismo would incorporate these traits, with a variety of vehicles so you can have relaxed racing as well as edge of your seat racing like this in either touring cars, rally, classics, etc.
