scoob u would need the lights on the cab not for deer but to light up fields so u could single out the sheep uve had ur eye on then it wouldnt leap out at last second and u could finish off....
does anybody know were i can get my copy of transmision monthly then i can woffle shit like scooby... he likes a lower cab then the ladyboys of the night can knock easier...

You could always borrow Scoob's copy. But am afraid to say the tosser has probably managed to stick the pages together. (Oh I love gearboxes, puff puff fumble fumble.)
Silly question, but why do you need all those lights on the front when all you do is drive up and down the motorway all day? I mean motorways are really dark!
Yeah,i never mentioned that it was the scania battery cover,he just seemed to know, must have been him. Here Kerrvinhighlands, can you remember a fitter who had dutch parentage, wore rose tinted glasses, anorak with a busted zip and read transmission monthly at tea break and sung box car willie songs.I canna mine.
Hey hotrodloon, I think i got it sussed, I bet it was Scoob that tried to fit your battery box, can you remember which Scania garage it was in, he did say he worked for Scania at one time. Prob got sacked for losing battery covers....Ha
Drive it like you stole i say and then get a 'fitter' to swap the parts that have failed you on your latest drive. Then on your way home from the 'fitter' you can stop and pick up your battery box which has just fallen off(not 'fitted' properly)or your sump plug or your injector seals ,radiator cap,oil cap, propshaft bolts.I look after the driveline on my truck,so don't judge me whilst u sit in your anorak dreaming of becoming a mechanic.
kerrvinhighlands must feel so silly having the chance to buy any truck he wanted in the last 15years and yet he chose the scania root.I know him very well and i don't think he would have bought the fourth one if he had the problems scoobmeister has mentioned.I have driven the XF for 5years and the 164 for 4years.The daf had 3 engines,2 gearboxes,a turbo, diff and all the valves and wiring problems. The bed is the only good thing about it.The steering box broke last week on the scania. You choose !
Fck me Scoob am gonna need complain to Scania coz av driven V8's for the last 15 years and never had none of that stuff..Maybe its just me.. I lied a bit, I did need a cab ram replacing once.
no way is the daf better on fuel than a scania v8.and if it is because are driving it all wrong there no point reving the shit out of it you just let it lug over.I hate the 4 serise cab with the fowared bunk which limits hight.wat can i say about daf scc you could live in for weeks also the ride in a scania is very hard.I am driving a merc actros v8 and is a great cab lots of space.i have yet to drive a scania r
Scoobmeister, on what do you base your view? I am an HGV 1 driver and work for a company that runs Both DAF XF & Scania R Series - the Scania is simply better to drive than the DAF in every respect and leagues ahead in its driveline, also its better on fuel too!
Another thing, the Opticruise gearbox is alot quicker to change than that in an Auto 105XF and it has a clutch pedal which gives far better control than that in the DAF.
The DAF is probably the more comfortable of the two but there's little in it.
Well fair comments, I just dont think Scoobmeister has done the miles in a Scania to appreciate the work load it can do, and in the end thats the long an short of it...
Ha I wonder why Scoobmeister dislikes Scania so much and likes Daf. Probably just jealous because Scania is so far infront. Tell me again, how old is that Daf cab now. Slight modification I know, but still the same old crap..
You don't see many OTR cabovers in the US now days. I drove cabovers twenty years ago and hated them because of the ride and they were too high and had blind spots on the right side. How do these cabover Scanias like overall?
but being a cabover,u save much space and could have a longer trailer and could negotiate tight spaces much easier.find me a truck with no blind sides
Ha ha, man you are just so funny DonRozalexo. And a comment like that from a man who drives a DAF.. Think a wee visit to the head-doctor is called for. Cheers.

3hrs from a motorway,150kg red deer wandering about that write off cars, seems a good enough reason to me.

Sorry I stand corrected yor Daf might be able to match it if it didnt have to keep going in to hospital to get its cylinder heads sorted out, Again..
