  • Private property.

It's serious buisness in the USA!

  • My favorite scene in a movie full of wonder and surprise. Wynn rules here. I've always felt Savalas was influenced a little by this scene in HIS scene in "Capricorn One."

  • The best scene in an excellent movie.

  • This movie is great, don't reccomend it though as a comedy, just let them watch, our notion of comedy is a little biased becuase of todays style of humour.

  • Shoot! With the Gun! That's what the Bullets are for ya Twit!

my favorite line in whole movie.

  • The writing for this is just amazing! Nearly every characters' line has something you can quote .........and they all sound crazy.

  • If you try any preversions in there I'll blow your head off.

  • Your Preversion

  • Well you don't think I'd go into combat with loose change in my pocket, do ya?

  • imagine that this is many years before movies like pulp fiction

  • "Preverts"

Looks like Guano left his thesaurus at home.

  • I loved the part, even though I never saw this film before, where he got it right in the face after shooting the cola machine. :D

  • I love Kubrick's films.

  • If you trying preversions I'll blow your head of loool.

  • oh...the irony...

  • that's what they said to Hoffa as well. then apparently he ended up in some mafia bridge concrete.

  • Person to Person? Trunk Call?

  • The court of enquiry on this will give 10 people such a pranging they'll be lucky if they end up wearing the uniform of a bloody toilet attendant.

  • The bit about answering the Coca Cola company is a sly comment on the American tendency towards corporate fascism.

  • 10 people work for coca cola haha lol

  • Lol "if you try any preverions I'll shoot your head off!" I think twit is my new favorite word lol

  • lmbo preversion

  • It's interesting how the dubbing in another language changes radically the conversation.

  • 10 people are still 20 cents short

  • Priceless! Brilliant!

  • The thing is, a deviated prevert saves the day....... temporarily. So the the ones who dislike this video are actually twits, who don't know how to shoot with their guns and what their bullets are for.

  • Buncha deviated preverts is what all you are.

  • shame you don't have the earlier scene when keenan walks into the bathroom...

    still terriffic clip though;

    :o)

  • fuck cola

  • @skreczujacasurykatka cola is better than shit pepsi

  • @Struckworld megusta

  • @Struckworld pepsi is more american

  • @TecZero1000 pepsi is for gay hipsters

  • @Struckworld um pepsi changed there colors during WWII from yellow to red, white,& blue and sme of the money went to care package so, your a gay communist

  • Funny how the Coke sprays him in the chin, then he moves his face down to take it in the face.

  • There are now 10 preverts , the preversion is spreading.

  • Still insanely hillarious after almost fifty years. Keenan Wynn should have been given a gold medal or something for his acting in this scene. It's note perfect. Just the right touch of that good-old American by-the-book short-hair psycopathy.

  • @bapyou hahaha note perfect lol. and another lol for a gold medal lmao

  • 9 people are preverts

  • @SirDude456

    "9 people are preverts"

That's DEVIATED preverts, son. DEVIATED preverts. Get it straight.

  • @bapyou I still think I said it better

  • The irony being that coca-cola is the real president of the united state, whom he works for.

  • Comment removed

  • 9 people need "such a pranging"

  • movieForensics

  • i never understood why he wouldn't go into combat with loose change in his pocket, yet he is wearing a tie..

  • @desalvo66

    A tie doesn't jingle.

  • All I see are 2 Jewish PREVERTS doing a great comedy scene.

  • I lold so hard when he messed up the words perversion and pervert...

Kubrick surely knew how to dish out a joke.

  • Should have opened wide. Free drink.

  • LOL hes the guy who played as inspecter cluesoe

  • @MrTurnthatfrownaroun Um, yeah Mr Turnwhatever, he's also the guy who died in the physical act of love. He gave his essence.

  • @nwoalexjones

Cell phone? Haha...This movie was made in the 70's. Cell phones didn't come out until 1984.

  • @DrMarianus Actually Dr. Strangelove was released in 64, so even older then you might suspect.

  • @DelaneyRoberts 54 wasn't it?

  • @DrMarianus 70's? woah woah woah, early 60's dude

  • @DrMarianus Not 70's. Came out in 1964.

  • 9 people are pre-verts of General Ripper.

  • People like that Colonel are rampant in the military.

  • So he wouldn't go into combat with loose change (like no one should), but he would while wearing just a garrison hat instead of an M1 helmet?

  • You don't think I'd would go into combat with loose change in my pocket? Would you?

  • lol.

  • I'm playing guano in a few weeks. So excited :D

  • Kubrick was a genius...this flick still holds up after almost 40 years.

  • @MOONSIP2 when in the world, movies like "grown ups" and "american pie: hole in one" start making their decent from the Great Cesspit of Shit to your local place of purchase, and you buy it and later you start gazing into your 79 inch flat screen TV, with anticipation for something other than 'Observe and Report' , and half way through the movie you realize that it's not gonna get funny, and your wallet had to sacrifice 30 of your precious banknotes... you've been burned with the same crap!

  • @MOONSIP2 50 years?

  • @MOONSIP2 50 years! I hope I can go to the theater January 29, 2014 and see the 50 year re-releases in theater for the anniversary. Well i hope they do that!

  • Such a pranging!

  • Did anyone else notice that he said "Cola-cola" instead of "Coca-cola"?

  • @thetallguy5192 .....no he didn't. He said "Coca-Cola"

  • 8 sacred coca cola bottles were upset by this Vid

  • 8 retired technicians from the Coca Cola company got upset while watching this

  • "You don't think I go into combat with loose change in my pocket, do you?" LOL!

  • Deviated prevert The most classic phrase in movie history!

  • wow Felipe Scolari has been around for a while

  • hilarious

i never knew bullets were used for that purpose

    lol

  • 8 people are angry Brits who cannot contact our President.

  • "That's private property." Classic

  • like with Idiocracy the people who need to understand this movie are far too vacuous to get it.

they will see this as insane but they don't get that 'support the troops' is equally insane

  • That what the bullets are for you twit! HA-HA-HA

  • If you try any preversions and I blow your head off!

  • @USBPlugger go to wikipedia

  • What is the meaning of this scene? What does it represent?

  • And Stanley Kubrick didn't have a sense of humour?

  • damn and i saw this movie when i was like 15 or some shit hahaha. still funny as bullshit like the hangover,.

  • 8 people are preverts guilty of preversions

  • @CelticMudkip I only will push the dislike button, because some faggots have to comment any shit!

  • Lmaoz!

    Funny shit

  • Prez. Merkin Muffly,LOL

  • best scene

  • 8 people must answer to the coca cola company.

  • 2:55 '...that's private property..'

this is the crucial moment in this scene as property is the most sacred thing in our monetary system (more then a human life). those who own property (planet) those rule

    -> watch?v=acLW1vFO-2Q

only property (not possession) can be used as a collateral to raise some chips (money). those who have acquired property have no reason to put is as collateral again which leads to the end of the game = gov. debt = depression = war.

  • What is it about this movie that makes the film look so good. I have seen numerous black and white films, but few that looked as fresh. I believe I first saw this movie on a DVD around 2005 or so and it looked as if it had been recorded yesterday.

Was it the improvement of film by 1964 or what? I'm thinking it may also have to do with the high contrast lighting. Even films from the 80's and 90's often didn't look this good.

  • @tf2whackyengineer

have you ever seen barry lyndon? the lighting is so different but incredible!! it must be lighting and certain types of celluloid/ camera he chose to use. i never saw any other film maker make things as 'present as Mr kubrick did with the way he lit his films. Barry lyndon is all daylight and candlelight, yet its as crisp and intensely present as the look of Dr Strangelove, despite all the frosting.

  • I just organized a mutiny of preverts at work today, it was awesome! Join us brothers and sisters! Join us!

And by the way,.... fuck the coca cola company!

    Savic Enn

    Mutineer

    Prevert Rebellion ,Ga

  • Next time someone tries to bum a quarter off me, I use the line "You don't think I'd go into combat with loose change in my pocket, do ya?"

  • Okay normally I don't do this retarded dislike commentary but...

"8 preverts were trying some sort of preversion here."

  • this movie still looks so un-outdated. kubricks camera work is just flawless

  • That's got to be one of the great forgotten lines in movie history "You try any preversions and I'll blow your head off".

  • He doesn't carry loose change into combat, but the other guys get lipstick and nylon stockings?

  • @Ichiboy900

A fella could have himself a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all this stuff.

  • Preverts untie!!!

  • @Kubrickfan1 The Court of Inquiry will give you such a pranging.

  • @Wraythhmark Are you threatening a brother officer with a gun?

  • @Kubrickfan1 fucking WIN!

  • Kubrick is the best !

  • My buddy would quote "Well you don't think I would go in to combat with loose change in my pocket do ya?" - when people would try to bum change off him. Only I would laugh.

  • The 8 people who disliked this are mutinous preverts.

  • They really must space that "dislike" bar soooooo much further from the "like" bar...

That way we can truly get to the bottom of this...full understanding of how AMAZING THIS FILM IS!!!!

  • Great movie !!!!!!!!!

  • That's Ed Wynn's son. Nice to see he was as great an actor as his father was a comedian.

  • "I think you're some kind of deviated prevert. I think general Ripper found out about your prevertion, and you were organizing some kind of mutiny of preverts."

  • The Pentagon isn't in Washington D.C.

  • @RobTG Yeah, Arlington, but it's right across the river, no one's going to care.

  • @RobTG Remember, this was a movie with the purpose to entertain, and not a documentary!

  • 8 deviated preverts did not like this clip.

  • Pre-verts!

  • The End of The World, . 20 Cent.Short.

  • "If you try any perversions in there" Lmao, wtf is he gonna do, jack off over the phone? "Oh Mr President *ahh* General Ripper *ooh* went CahRAZZY * uh uh uh uhhhh* he went CahRAAAZY....all over my petticoat."

  • @seunketchup88 PREversions.

  • I just read the book "A History of the World in 6 Glasses" great book... but Coca Cola was everywhere we had troops... read the book...

  • classic!

  • "You don't think I'd go into combat with loose change in my pocket, do you?"

This made the beverage I was drinking come out of my nose the first time I heard this line. And yes, it was Coca Cola.

  • 8 coca cola machines saw this vid

  • @GiantEnemyCrab63

    Die in a fire.

  • @GiantEnemyCrab63 581 Pepsi machines liked this scene

  • @GiantEnemyCrab63 good sign how 8 months ago it was 8 dislikes and now its been 8th months and it only 9 dislikes

  • I want to find the people who disliked this clip and give them a good pranging.

  • You can't call the President from a pay phone. Believe me, I've tried.

  • Colonel Bat Guano had it right. You do NOT mess with the Coca-Cola company.

That said, I wonder how the Coca-Cola executives reacted when they saw this scene.

  • @Fireshark731

You hear a lot about "product placement". I wonder just how far back it dates? Sen. Theodore Bilbo of Mississippi is quoted as saying, "I don't care what they say about me, just as long as they're talking about me."

  • Am I the only one who Googled what "prevert" meant after watching this?

  • Was this an ad for coca-cola, I can't quite figure it out?

  • if you try any preversions, i'll blow your head off

  • Capitalism vs saving the world from a nuclear holocaust - capitalism comes very close to winning!

  • I actually prefered the movie fail-safe, I never found Strangelove that funny to be honest but its still a classic, i think slim pickens steals it, quite ironic as Sellers dropped out of that part..

  • @harrysboy Both are fantastic movies. Strangelove was more of a sadistic humor piece that poked fun at the seeming human nature and inevitability to destroy ourselves.

As you know fail-safe is a serious look into the dangers of nuclear weapons. Both have two different morals, as you know. I am not sure which I like more. It is hard for me to decide. I guess I like them both equally, really.

  • @TheLonersManual the prob I have with strangelove is the effect it had on failsafe, i just think failsafe deserved a lot more credit than it ended up with which was a shame..

  • This is an awesome movie!

At camp, my friend anne, and i who both love this movie, randomly accused people of preversions. Everyone thought we were crazy :D lol

  • this movie makes me call people "preverts" instead of "perverts". amazing

  • I'd like a good pranging, I think.

  • I just saw this movie and I cracked up! I wasn't expecting it at all!

  • Poor mandrake, he is the only person in the movie that is sane.

  • "Thats private property!"

  • He is a lefty.

  • I love this film. Total classic. I mean you hear about the plot being a comedy about a nucleur war and you just think "are you mad?", yet somehow it worked.

This scene is definitely one of my favorites. I love the officers reactions to Mandrakes requests for change

"If you don't get the President of the United States, you're going to have to answer to the Coca Cola company"

  • i dont get it..

  • Col Batguano

  • Great film.

  • lol omg... jijiji

  • MUTINY OF PREVERTS

  • I think you're some kinda deviated prevert! The funniest line in the whole damn movie!

  • I laugh SO HARD when he said "You'll have to answer to the Coca-Cola company"!

  • "You don't think I'd come into combat with loose change in my pocket, do ya?" Lack of preparedness....

  • "...a muntiny of preverts..." Hahahaha.

  • "Colonel, that Coca-Cola machine, I want you to shoot the lock off; there may be some change in there."

    "... That's private property."(!!)

    Brilliance.

  • "if you try any preversions in there I'll blow your head off."

  • Keenan Wynn was one of my favorites when I was a small kid from the series "The Troubleshooters" and it was great to see him get to do some satirical acting in Dr. Strangelove, holding his own with Peter Sellers, a master of satire.

  • @girdelle Agree, a terrific actor. And during the war, gave acting, disguise and make up lectures a to agents for the OSS which was the precursor to the CIA.

  • Lol trust the Brit to be the only one that knows whats happening XD

  • i smell a big, fat, Commie rat :D

  • coke machine = sacred relic of America's state religion

  • @jxhensley yeah... and military as usual protecting the interest of big corporations and capitalist bloodsucking elite, all the way along telling you; " son you fight for freedom and democracy and your country".. where when you come back they welcome you to homelessness.. harsh but true...

  • haha, preverts.

  • i convinced my history teacher to show this in class, im happy

  • good thing it wasn't pepsi
