when i was in high, i used to play this, day after day.

my fav was f14, its homing missile comes in handy.

You could freaking ruin bosses with Lord White's carpet bombs fully powered up. And Kohful was the only character I could ever beat the game with on one coin. You guys are good - taking out the Mediterranean boss with one bomb and no casualties is impressive.

i like how the 2nd boss is an avro vulcan. you don't see that one alot in real life. nor the MiG-31 Firefox, albeit far larger than it is.

i love aero figthters, i wish there was a collection game (like world heroes anthology for example) so you could play all the aero fighter games (including the n64 game, but first they must fix it). also i feel sorry for your brother, but what was the accident, did he get hurt or something.

p.s. i don't have mame because my mom thought that the disk was a boot leg and i tried to tell her that it was mame and the next day she threw them out. now i have to go to another anime convention to get the mame disk. also the mame disk at the anime convention does not need downloading. thanks.

i promised my self that if i get the mame disk and it works i was going to play the original X-men arcade game. after that i will play all three aero fighters (sonic wings) games, i was never good at shmups unless it has free play.

p.s. did you hear that alan wake is coming to xbox 3690 in 2010? i was watching e3 on g4tv and i have to tell you, it looks like a good survival horror game.

MAN!! I used to play this HOT shmup in the arcades back in 1992 at a local arcade place!!! ;) Aero Fighters/Sonic Wings was some helluva heavy inspiration for the birth of Psikyo and such many vertical shmups of theirs as Strikers 1945 I-III, Gunbird, and even Dragon Blaze!!!

Also, GREAT music in Aero Fighters as well, and so are the sound effects!!

I gotta say congratulations to you and your brother both on clearing this very difficult game.... it was well worth it!!! ^-^=b !
